NEW PARTS hot wico magneto Case SC DC Allis chalmers WC WD B C
PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION This auction is for a good working Wico model XH2500 magneto. It has a NEW rotor and NEW cap gasket with a nice used cap. I can see the timming mark clearly through the small window( see photo)It fires very well. It turns clockwise. The impulse drive was adjustable BUT someone has welded it in position so it is nolonger adjustable. see photo) The lag angle stop is still adjustable. I put this magneto on my Case SC( TRACTOR IS RUNNING IN PHOTOS) it worked well. But the timming was slow. I had to turn the magneto as far as the slotted holes would allow to make it work. It was still a little slow. This issue can be corrected by changing the lag angle. If I was going to use the magneto on my Case or Farmall tractor. I would change the lag angle on the magneto from 25 degrees to 15 degrees. Changing the lag angle ... morewould advance the timing and should make the magneto sit centered in the slotted mounting holes. On an Allis Chalmers tractor with 30 degree lag angle I would reset the mag to 20 degrees. This should solve the slow timming issue of the welded adjustment on the impulse coupling. new couplings are avaliable at about $40.00. The buyer can get a new one if he wishes and replace it himself. I will not replace the coupling. Pay to have it replaced or take returns on this magneto. I think I have made it very clear about the timming issue. if you have any questions ASK before you bid. And please ask early so I have time to reply before auction ends. The serial number is a little hard to read it is.966634. The spec number is XH2500. I will retest the magneto after it is sold and make sure everything is working before I ship. Nebraska residents pay 5.5% sales tax. shipping price includes insurance.If the magneto gets damaged in shipping. Working antique 5-bar hand-cranked (telephone) generator / magneto
Another relic from our cabinet of curiosities: A classic hand-cranked generator or dynamo or magneto used for classroom demonstrations. Probably the same device as used in old telephones. The unit does work(I can get up to 40 VAC from it) Although the wire connecting to terminal#1 has corroded through at the point of attachment to the terminal. The wires coming off the unit itself are fine. Unit is in OK condition considering it was used by high school students way back when. Cool piece with that vintage steampunk look. All proceeds of this auction will be used to offset participation fees for students of our high school qualifying for district and state high school science fairs.

Old Original John Lauson Hit Miss Gas Engine Ammeter Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a very rare original John Lauson ammeter. It is from the same John Lauson Company in New Holstein. WI, that built the Frost King hit and miss gasoline engines. They were used to test the strength of the batteries that were being used to run the engines. It is in great condition considering it's over 100 years old and I see no reason why it wouldn't work. It has the original cloth covered wire on it which is a bit tattered but it will work the way it is. It measures about 2 1/8 inches in diameter and the only thing I see wrong with it is the glass is missing. I'm sure this would be available rather inexpensively at a local clock or watch repair shop. This would be a great addition to your early agricultural memorabilia collection or would really look nice displayed with your John Lauson engine at the shows! Old Antique F. Geiser Quack Medical Shock Magneto Cure All Device
Offered at auction is an old antique quack medical device from many decades ago. This device came from a deceased medical doctor’s estate. I am not certain of its actual age but quite possibly it is from the 1920’s. This device is in a case that is about 7 ½” x 7 ½” x 6” and weighs just over 10 lbs. I am not certain how it works or what it was used for. It was possibly a cure all shock device. It is marked F. Geiger. Phila. There is a green variegated marble like surface on the top side of the inside of the case. It is in nice clean condition and has a coil of external wiring included. Some of the outer coating on the wiring is starting to flake(see photos) I have taken photos of the internal works which depicts a magnet like object surrounded by copper. Kellogg Telephone Ringer Box 3 Bar Magneto This Kellogg ringer box is in good condition. It is not tested. The crank turns as it should. The bells do not ring when cranked. The wood appears to be Oak or a similar type of wood. The front cover looks like it has been glued together at some point. Note also the wood along the side where the crank is. There seems to be a break. There are some spaces between the wood along the top edges. All of the wood panels are attached and nothing is flimsy or loose. There is a hanging wire attached. Old Brass Steam Engine Popcorn Wagon Whistle Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Oiler
This is a real nice original brass steam whistle. It measures about 1 5/16 inches in diameter and about 6 1/4 inches tall. It is in good condition for it's age with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind but does have some wear and dings from living in an old blacksmith shop for several decades. It has 1/4 inch pipe threads which are in great shape. It has a few very minor wrench marks on it but all in all it's pretty darn nice! It has a very unusual body that I can't say that I've seen before. These small whistles were commonly found on popcorn wagons and other small steam applications and are very tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets! Old IHC R Type M Mogul Hit Miss Gas Engine Rotary Magneto Steam Tractor Oiler
This is an original International Harvester Type R rotary magneto. It was standard equipment on the 6hp Type M engines as well as the 1. 1 3/4, and 2 1/2hp Mogul engines. It was also an option on the vertical IHC Famous and Titan engines as well as the 2 1/2 and 4hp horizontal Famous engines. It could probably be made to work on other engines as well. It needs a bit of attention in the base as can be seen but this should be a fairly easy repair. I've seen lots of these milled out and an aluminum insert added inside the perimeter of the base and it is very hard to tell. It would also be a very solid repair. It has minimal wear in the bearings and turns over with decent magnetic pull. I'm sure with a disassembly and some light cleaning it would probably work just fine. The nice part is that all of the parts to rebuild it are available ... morerather inexpensively from several of the hobby magneto shops. These original Type R magnetos are rather tough to find even at swap meets. Let the pictures be your guide. Good Luck.

Old 1 Inch Pickering Steam Tractor Engine Governor Hit Miss Magneto Oiler NICE!!
This is an extremely nice 1 inch Pickering governor for a steam engine or tractor. It was made by the Pickering Governor Company in Portland. Connecticut. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It turns nicely and has very little wear. The horizontal shaft has been bushed and it is nice and tight and ready for years of service! It has the original drive pulley on it and the gears have no noticeable wear on them. The 1 inch pipe threads are in great shape. Everything on this governor moves freely. I would say this governor is ready to be put to use! It measures about 19 inches tall overall. These governors are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for on here's your chance. Old IHC M Mogul Hit Miss Gas Engine Cylinder Oiler Steam Tractor Magneto NICE!!
This is an original cylinder oiler for an International Harvester Mogul or Type M gas engine. It's in excellent condition and only needs some minor cleaning. It has very little wear or wrench marks on the hex and everything seems to work as it should with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs. Both glasses are good but it may need new gaskets which is the fun part! It has the original checkball in the base and the 3/8 inch NPT threads look great. It measures about 2 1/8 inches in diameter and about 5 3/4 inches tall and would look good on a 1, 1 3/4, or 2 1/2hp Mogul or a 1 1/2 or 3hp M engine. Old Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Gear Steam Tractor Ignitor
Here is a real nice original cast iron magneto gear for a Fairbanks Morse gas engine. It is part number ZB 142 and measures about 3 11/16 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch face. It has a 3/8 inch hole for the magneto armature shaft and the keyway is in great shape. It has 35 teeth and they are in great shape. They have very little noticeable wear if any at all. I believe this gear is for the 3 and 6hp Z engines with a rotary magneto and ignitor ignition. This gear has no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be put to work on an engine. The gear you receive may not be the one in the photos but it is just as nice as it as I have more than one of these. These originals are getting pretty tough to find. Don't miss it. Good Luck.

Old Leader Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignition Switch Water Pump Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a very rare original pressure operated ignition switch for a Leader hit and miss gas engine powered air compressor or water pump. It is in exellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 4 1/4 inches wide at its widest and about 4 inches tall. It needs a new torsion spring on the needle but this should be pretty easy to make. It is made almost entirely of brass and has the original name tag on it. It has 1/4 inch female pipe threads and they are in great shape. These ignition cutout switches are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one for an authentic restoration here's your chance.
