Webster Magneto SMALL PARTS LOT Selling this lot of small hit& miss engine parts LOT. What you see in the picture is what you will get. A couple WEBSTER magneto parts. Like a coil pair(untested) inner shaft. One magnet bar clamp; made of cast iron(not brass) The wire or"terminal" cover is made of gray metal. It has some wear near one"screw hole" But still useable. The screw head should hide the wear anyway. Some other parts that are not very far from the mag. Like two square rods having one nut each. They measure about 0.307" wide by 7" long total. The last part you see lower right corner seems to be a bracket/ignitor part. Seems unused(New Old Stock) And made of brass. If you are rebuilding Webster mags and old engines. 303K82 IGNITOR BRACKET Webster Hit & Miss Engine Magneto UNIVERSEL VICTORIAVILLE
Rare& Vintage IGNITOR BRACKET Selling this vintage HIT& MISS ENGINE ignitor bracket(no Webster Tri-Polar magneto is included) The mark at bottom says"303K82" This is for the scarce"UNIVERSEL" hit and miss engine. It was made by a foundry in Victoriaville. Quebec, Canada. It was found a few years ago. Directly in the old building where was the foundry. The big casting were done here. But I guess they got the smaller parts fro mother suppliers. Usually. When the bottom marks were grinded at the factory, it has another number equivalent that fits on other brands. I don't know which one though. It has the standard 4 holes(2" apart) to receive a standard Webster magneto. It is in very good condition. Seems fairly complete to me(except maybe for one spring) And it is not stuck. Grease cup is there on top. No ... morebreaks. No welds or repairs anywhere. It would certainly need a good cleaning. It has lots of dry grease. Sold"as is, as found" Don't miss this one. Anything related to this scarce Canadian engine is very hard to find! I found a few items last fall related to"LA FONDERIE DE VICTORIAVILLE" or"Victoriaville Foundry" Founded in 1885. Many years ago they demolished the old building. The previous onwer was able to salvage a few things that were left. The flywheel is 3 3/4" dia. and 5/8" wide, 6 spoke, as seen in pics. the flywheel looks like it has never been painted, is missing the tiny set screw that locks it to the crankshaft, the base is approx. 8" long, overall 8 1/2" including mounts, it is 2 1/2" wide at the flywheel end and 2 1/8" at the cylinder end and is beautifully painted shiny black,the cyclinder is approx. 1 3/4" long by 1 1/8" dia. and has a 1 1/4" stroke. As seen in pics. the cylinder head is missing one(1) small screw, and the valve chest is missing two(2) small nuts. The Crankshaft, the Valve and the Piston ... moreall move smoothly and freely as they should, however, as seen in pics. the Connecting Rod and the Valve/ Eccentric Cam Connecting Rod are missing, sure these could be found or purchased online. I have for auction this original ball shaped muffler. It fits a stationary hit miss gas engine of around 1.5 or 2hp. I am not sure what it fits but looks similar to Stover or associated engines. It has a piece missing on the edge of the muffler. It is about 6" across. The pipe on it looks like 1/2" size. It is rusty but just needs a cleaning and some paint and your engine. NICE Webster Tri-Polar MAGNETO Type L for vintage Hit & Miss Engine 3 magnets
Vintage WEBSTER"Tri-Polar" Oscillator Selling this vintage hit and miss engine MAGNETO. This is a very good looking WEBSTER TRI-POLAR magneto. Made by"The Webster Electric Co. Racine. Wisconsin, USA" The aluminum name band is gone. But as it is a triple magnet, it should be a Type L. Under the pot metal metal body. It is marked"A100K" This is a nice"garage find" Uncleaned, unrestored but all there! I'm not an expert in that field to test them. I did the"drill" test with the shaft& held the terminal wire at the mean time. I felt nothing, it does not seem very"hot" All components move freely though. It is not stuck anywhere. You see that thing was kept indoor for many years. Magnets does not seem very strong. The whole magneto should be checked or restored. This is a very good ... moreproject. No parts broken. No cracks anywhere. Both oil holes are intact(with both flip tops too) All the pot metal parts on this mag are intact(top cover& both bearing plates) No cracks anywhere. That also includes the pot metal body itself. With the four threaded bolt holes in perfect shape. I give the four bolts in the deal. I removed them for the picture. Here's an old cast iron Fairbanks Morse hit& miss engine made by Arcade. It measures about 3 7/8" long. About 2 1/2" wide and 2" tall. The flywheels spin, however the axle must be slightly bent because they wobble a little bit when turned. It has most of its original paint and just looks cool. This is an extremely nice original Briggs and Stratton PB air cooled gas engine. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of except for a small chipped fin near the exhaust hole. It has most of its original paint as can be seen. I haven't run the engine but the fella that I got it from last year ran it. It has good compression and I don't think it will take much to make noise. It has the original gas tank on a nice homemade steel stand. The tank has a few dents in it but has the original bronze saddles and fuel cap on it. Old STRAUBEL 8hp Marine 2 Cycle Boat Engine Green Bay, WI Water Pump Hit Miss
This is a really nice old 8hp marine type gas engine built by the Straubel Machine Company in Green Bay Wisconsin. This was a very short lived company that didn't build very many engines. This is a fresh water engine and is in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos. It is much larger than most of the marine engines that turn up as it is 8hp. It stands about 37 inches tall on the nice fabricated presentation base that it sits on. It could easily be used for stationary purposes like this. Everything seems to be correct and original on this engine. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It turns over nicely and has excellent compression even after sitting for several years. The only thing I can see that is missing is the tab for the timer to rub on the hub of the flywheel for ignition. This would be ... morevery easy to fabricate. This engine is a two cycle engine and will run in either direction. The flywheel measures about 21 1/2 inches in diameter with a 4 1/2 inch face. The are two notches in the edge of it to start it with a bar in either direction. It has a very heavy and ornate original brass serial tag on it. This is a rather rare engine as Straubels don't turn up very often in the wild or even at swap meets so if you're looking for something different this is certainly it. The babbitt in the rod cap is in good shape but the babbitt in the rod will need to be replace. The piston measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter. This is a real nice original cast iron pulley for an International Harvester Tom Thumb or 1hp Titan or Famous hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures 6 inches in diameter with a 2 1/2 inch face. It has a 1 1/8 inch bore for the crankshaft. The set screw that tightens onto the keyway in the crankshaft needs to be drilled out and removed but the two holes on the opposite side are in good shape. It will work on any engine with a 1 1/8 inch crankshaft but came from the factory on a Tom Thumb or 1hp Famous. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application.
