You are bidding on a very nice all original paint 2hp Jaeger hit& miss engine block. Flywheels, crankshaft, bearing caps, skids, and gas tank. There are no issues at all with what you see. the bore is very nice, you can even still see the lathe marks in the cylinder which means this wasn't a worn engine! The gas tank looks nice but I've never had anything in it to test for leaks. The flywheels run straight as an arrow. Crank journal has no pits or scratches, it is very smooth. If you have a block with a welded cam boss, or bad bore, or any problem at all, just swap all your parts on to this one, and you will be in business in no time. Hard to find engines this nice and original. No dissapointments! I can store the engine here for 6 months for no charge. We are located 100 miles north of Detroit. Old FAIRBANKS MORSE 3hp Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Gear Guard Steam Oiler NICE
This is a really nice original Fairbanks Morse gear guard. It was used on the early ignitor fired 3hp Model Z engines with the Sumter rotary magneto and possibly the 6hp as well. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a wear mark on the bottom from rubbing on the magneto gear but this won't be seen when it's on your engine. It is 1 inch wide and mounts with one hole under a main bearing bolt. If you've been looking for one you already know how tough they are to find. They're not that easy to make, either, so here's your chance. It is ready to go to work on an engine or would also be a good spare on the shelf. vintage Viking walkbehind garden tractor carburetor 1 cylinder engine hit miss
offered for auction is a zenith updraft carburetor from an early single cylinder engine. I believe that it came from a single cylinder Viking walk behind garden tractor. The unit for sale include the original manifold and air cleaner. However the ears on the manifold that were used to attach it to the engine have been broken off and the air cleaner is in bad shape. I have left it all together so if nothing else you can see what they should look like and can match the numbers on the manifold to yours. There appears to be a repair on the side of the carburetor bowl that covers up part of the word Zenith. I would welcome any questions regarding this item. The last photo shows a hole in part of the air cleaner that looks like a tube was soldered into at one time. It may have come off of an small single cylinder Cushman engine also. Old Essex Brass drip oiler. Missing something from the top- possibly a plunger and handle. It is nice and dirty! Everything seems to be free to turn. Easily disassembles, and will clean up nicely. The bottom fitting looks like 3/4" pipe thread. It measures overall about 7 1/2" and about 4" wide(at the knob) the glass is about 3" diameter and 2 3/4" tall. It weighs about 2 1/2 pounds.

This clutch pulley is made by Edgemont Machine Company. is a bolt on style clutch pulley. The Pulley is 16 inches diameter. The bolt on plate is 12& 3/8 diameter. The bolt holes are 9& 1/2 inch centerline to centerline. The flat face of the pulley is 6& 1/2 inches. If this clutch was laying flat on a bench, the measured height would be 13&1/2 inches tall. Or you can say it is 13.5 inches wide. This clutch is in working condition, no stuck parts& turns freely, Clutch engages& disengages as designed. Original color is black. SUMTER MAGNETO FAIRBANKS MORSE HEADLESS Z GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS
This is an original SUMTER MAGNETO from a headless Z Fairbanks Mores engine. The pot metal base of the magneto is cracked and broken like many. This is quite common on these magnetos and reproductions are available in aluminum and brass from magneto parts suppliers. The base bolts on with four screws. The rest of the magneto is steel and brass and is fine. Magneto spins over nice and smooth. Gear is in really nice condition. Has good magnetism. The magneto is hot. I attached a 12 volt test light and it would flash the bulb real bright just spinning the gear by hand. I was actually supprised how hot it was. No other cracks. Breaks, or welds. This is an original FAIRBANKS MORSE RV1 Magneto. Really nice looking original magneto. I'm sure its off some type of Fairbanks type Z engine. Mag turns over nice and smooth. It has an impulse which locks up and snaps just as it should. Gear has 35 teeth and is about 3 3/4" diameter. It does spark but its a light spark. VERY EARLY MICHIGAN LUBRICATOR OILER HEAVY CAST BRASS HIT & MISS ENGINE L@@K!!!!
You are bidding on a very nice and also very early Michigan Lubricator ball check oiler. Top glass is in great shape. Bottom glass looks good too, but its lose in there, probably wrong height glass. There are a few scratches and marks in the brass, but overall not really too bad. The only thing it is missing is the little fipper on top to turn it on and off, but I'm sure you can rob one off just about any oiler that is this size. Really neat how they have the vent running along side the bottom glass housing. It could probably use a new filler plug, the one in it is fairly beat up. Take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself, not an oiler you see every day! Total height of oiler is 7" widest diameter is 2 7/8" and 1/2" pipe thread. That is a model made pretty much just like a 1-1/2hp John Deere E. They are all marked New Holland with a sharpie and I have no idea why. I bought these from an auction of Leroy Hoover's(Farmer Brown) engine items that was held in Pa this last summer. From what I gather Leroy had these patterns made. These two Sight Glasses do not appear to have been used. I call them used because each of the glasses is chipped on one end(Pic. 8& 10) The glass is not cracked all the way through. The glass tube is 3/4" in diameter and 4 1/4" long. The brass tube(outside) thread is a tad shy of 7/8" The tube is 3 1/2" long and the glass housing is 4 1/2" long. Old 1911 TEMPLE PUMP CO Celluloid Ruler Hit Miss Gas Engine Diamond Windmill WOW
This is a real nice original and very hard to find celluloid ruler from the Temple Pump Company in Chicago. Illinois. It advertises their Temple gasoline engines and pumps and their Diamond Windmills. They also offered pump jacks, wood saws, tanks, feed cookers, tank heaters and pipes and fittings. It is from 1911 as the calendar shows and is in great shape for being 104 years old! It was made by the J.B. Carroll Company in Chicago. It would be a fine addition to your early engine, windmill, or agricultural advertising collection or display. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up as it likely won't be this nice. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Good Luck.

Antique Hit & Miss Sight Glass Breather Oiler Engine Steam Boiler IH M Tractor
Hit and Miss Stationary Engine Site Glass Oiler or Condensate Water Trap and Air Intake Breather Filter Oiler is of unknown brand. I did brief search of patent# and came up empty. Patent number on oiler door appears to be 33015. The 5 is a bit swiggly, could also be a 3 or 6. The casting mark on breather T appears to be IH or IM. Diameter of oiler is 1- 1/4" Length of the whole oiler. Top nut to threaded fitting end, is 3" The casting web. Inside breather was a rough casting and is not broken, threading holds screw. These two items were found the way you see them on a shelf in my barn. I'm not sure if they were always together, or what they were mounted on, the person who set them there has passed on. Here is a very nice Apple Igniter made by The Dayton Electrical Co of Dayton Ohio. It turns over fine and spins when a 12 volt battery is hooked up to it just as it should. The doesn't seem to be any bearing wear. There is a very tight crack in the door. You might be able to see it in the pictures(see picture with my finger pointing) This is meant to run against a gas engine flywheel and generate power for ignition. While there are many different kinds of these friction mags around I think this is one of the nicer ones.
