Original Penberthy"Never Fail" brass connecting rod oiler for a hit and miss gas engine, steam engine, or other piece ... moreof machinery. It is in excellent, used condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs of any kind. It needs a little cleaning and probably new gaskets but that's the fun part. It is marked Penberthy Never Fail on the adjustment handle. It is about 2 inches in diameter and 4 1/4 inches tall overall. It has 3/8 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. The hex has some very minor wrench marks on them. These original rod oilers are tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance on it. I highly doubt there's too many left to be found! The pictures tell the story. Good Luck.

For auction is a vintage air pump. The flywheel is actually made out of wood and measures 11-1/2" in diameter. The small tank is 12" long nd 5" in diameter. it turns over smoothly and pumps air. It is suitable for a Large Hit and Miss or Throttle Governed Engine or Oil Field Engine, or could also be used as a machine oiler or on a Steam Engine if you just need a large capacity oiler with or without the checkball in it. 1/2 inch pipe thread with 1 3/8 Hex. Which is slightly deformed from a previous owner getting too aggressive with a wrench. The Threads Are Good! Can be used as is, or the one side of the hex can be filed or machined down to make them even again. ... moreI will leave that up to the new owner. I bought this a while back because I thought I wanted a BIG oiler, but I really have nothing big enough to need it myself, so it is now up for sale again. The oiler measures 7 inches tall(with the lever down. probably 7 1/2 with it up) And roughly 3 1/8 inches in diameter on the lid. The glass is 2.940 diameter and almost 3 1/2 inches high. It has the number 27 stamped in the hex, and is lightly stamped DETROIT LUBRICATOR CO. DETROIT MICH around the base of the oiler. 1926 Maytag Washing Machine Hit Miss Engine Catalog Directions Repair Parts Book
1926 Maytag Washing Machine catalog. Directions, repair parts, and a nice info pamphlet. Found at the house where they originally owned the machine from new! The catalog from The Maytag Company Newton, Iowa lists model 80, 82, and a wooden model 40. It also contains a photo on the wringer mech, cross section of tub, factory on 13 acres, and the kick start gas engine in this classy book. Also with it is a small booklet with some green printing with sales info and a little hand writing naming the store and price. There is a FORM 77 rigid cardboard hang card giving directions for use. And last there is a larger 30m 8-26 FORM 103 List of Repair Parts fold out booklet. This handy piece lists all the parts with their part number for the Maytag Gyrafoam Washers. When you unfold and open this item it shows a great line drawing of the Model 1926 washing ... moremachine and parts numbers indicated. The catalog measures 5 5/16" wide by 8 1/2" The smaller booklet with some green printing measures 3" wide by 5 3/4" high. The directions tag measures 4 3/16" wide by 7 1/4" high. The Repair Parts List measures 5 11/16" wide by 10" high. A SUPER lot of paper goods from the place where they used this washer 87 years ago. Shipping is by USPS priority. Old Original Alamo Empire Rock Island Hit Miss Gas Engine Muffler Steam Tractor
This is a super original cast iron muffler for an Alamo. Empire, Rock Island, Cockshutt, or other hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 7 3/4 inches in diameter and about 4 1/4 inches"thick" It has 1 1/4 inch pipe threads. The part numbers are 4074 and 4075. The only flaw that I've noticed is two of the rivets holding the halves together are loose. These could easily be peened a bit and tighten right up. These original mufflers are very hard to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one to complete your authentic restoration, here's your chance. This is a very hard to find original Webster magneto mounting ignitor bracket for a Bates and Edmonds Bulldog gas engine. It is bracket number 303K138 and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs and is in near perfect condition. The movable shaft has no wear at all. The roller is in perfect shape and everything works as it should. The points are in great shape and should last a very long time. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes about 3 3/16 inches apart on center. The barrel measures 1 13/16 inches in diameter. The only thing this bracket needs is a flip top oil cup for the movable shaft which is available rather inexensively from several of the hobby suppliers. This ignitor bracket is for all of the Bulldog engines from 2 1/2 through 12hp. It may fit others as well. Measure your engine to be sure. Rare Antique Vintage Maytag Wrench # 5 Hit Miss Gas Engine Tool Perfect Splines
You are bidding on a rare Maytag Number 5 Hit Miss Gas Engine Tool. I did everything I could as far as pictures go to give you a complete look at this wonderful piece. The splines are in great condition. Showing little if any wear. There is very little wear on the screwdriver tip. I tried to show in the last two pictures above that the tool has a slight curvature. You cannot see this while holding it, only when laying it flat on a table. I am guessing maybe from years of being in the technicians back pocket. As you can see, I did nothing but leave in original condition. I used steel wool only to remove dust and oil residue, very little pressure applied. The wrench is about 5 3/8" long and 2" wide. This is an original cast iron starting crank for a Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It fits on a 1 3/4 inch diameter crankshaft and would certainly work on any engine that it fits but it is factory equipment for the 3hp Z engines. The pawl for the flywheel key moves freely. The spring for the pawl is in good condition. The sleeve on the handle moves freely and this crank is ready to go to work starting an engine! You don't see these very often with none of the bolt lugs broken or repaired. This one has never been broken! It has had new bronze bearings installed in it as well. Good as new without the machining and is an original. This fit on a crankcase mounted carburetor style engine. Won't last long at this price. If your crankshaft is sloppy. There will be some play in this, if your crank is good, it'll be good for your engine. Old IHC Corn Sheller Cast Iron Nubber Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Oiler
This is rather scarce original cast iron"nubber" for and International Harvester corn sheller. It is IHC part number 2285A and is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It fits on a 15/16 inch shaft and is used to clean off the ends of the cobs of corn after they come out of the sheller. This gets all of the small kernels of corn that the sheller may miss. It has the original slotted set screw that has some wear but turns freely and is fully functional. It needs some new paint but that's the fun part! These nubbers are almost always missing on shellers and are almost impossible to find in the wild! The pictures tell the story on it. Here is a very nice early brass oiler marked LUNKENHEIMER No 3 FIG. 1301 PARAGON. The cap that slides to fill the oiler has the Pat. date of Apr. 13 1926. These ball check oilers were the top of the line and are still used often o n hit and miss engines. The oiler is in nice as is condition with minor wrench marks and ball check is free. The brass top was partly cleaned at one time and is in great shape with good markings stamped in it. This would clean up well for use on a hit miss/ steam engine or display. SELLING WITH NO RESERVE!

HERCULES ECONOMY WEBSTER TRIP FINGER BRACKET Old Gas Engine Hit and Miss
Here is a trip finger bracket for a 2-1/2hp to 12hp Hercules or Economy engine. This bracket is to be used with a Webster mag setup. There is a little wear on the shaft that sticks out for the trip finger to slide on to. The wear shouldn't hurt anything. It would be easy to fix if needed. Many of these get broken from someone over tighting the set screws. This one is in great shape and has no cracks, breaks, or welds. Old Fairbanks Morse RV4 Allis Chalmers Tractor Magneto Hit Miss Gas Engine HOT!!
This is a real nice original Fairbanks Morse RV4B four cylinder magneto for an antique tractor. These were used on Allis Chalmers tractors as well as many others. It is in excellent condition and has been gone through. Cleaned, and adjusted and puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It is a flange mount magneto. The magneto is clockwise rotation and the impulse works perfectly. The only flaw I've noted is two VERY minor cracks in one of the leadout towers and this won't even be noticed when the magneto is on the tractor. It also needs a little orange paint removal and it will shine nicely. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually require several hundred dollars to rebuild. This one is in near perfect shape and needs nothing. Up for Auction is a Nice Igniter For Type E John Deere 1.5. 3, 6 Horse Power Hit Miss Farm Gas Engine I wasn't sure what to check for to see if this part is good or not. But there are no cracks or breaks visible. I checked for continuity and there is continuity when the points are closed and not when open. So I am assuming this is fine. Old IHC Type L Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Magneto Ignitor Steam Tractor HOT!!
This is an original International Harvester Type L low tension rotary magneto for an International Harvester Type M gas engine. It was factory equipment on the 1 1/2 and 3hp M engines and it was also a optional attachment on other engines like the 1hp Famous and Titan along with the Titan Jr. It is in rough condition and may only be good for parts. set of 4 cast iron 4 1/2 inch wheels hit miss engine industrial cart
A set of 4 cast iron wheels that were removed from a vintage platform scale. From the appearance of the wheels it looks like the scale was stored in a building with a dirt floor. The wheels rusted on one side which resulted in pitting. Shown in close up. The wheels are 4 1/2 inches in diameter and the face of the wheel is 1 1/16 of an inch. The hole in the hubs are apr. 9/ 16 of an inch.
