Carling 3hp Live Steam Turbine Engine Hit Miss Stationary Generator Antique
Up for auction is my Carling 3hp Steam Turbine. Works well. I had it running on both air and steam. 1500 rpm, not sure of year but I would guess 1940's. The 3 valves control the flow to the veins, each one closes off a vein. Ran well off of 120 cfm compressor, my small taylor shop boiler did not have enough volume and would just get it spinning. Relatively small for a steam turbine, 2 guys can easily pick it up. Has working governor, 1 inch shaft. Would make a great engine show piece, would look good with a propeller spinning on it. Located 20 miles south of Cleveland, Ohio. Can be picked up or I will ship only if buyer arranges shipping. I like to use Fastenal to ship, they ship store to store for a very reasonable price. RARE Vintage MODEL STEAM ENGINE Old Educational Toy Display Antique Hit & Miss
This neat 1890's to early 1900's era Educational Steam Engine Counter Display or Early Teaching Model was very nicely made of mostly painted cast-iron with nickel-plated brass. Aluminum& steel components along with a solid wood base by the Columbia School Supply Co. Indianapolis Indiana/IN/IND. founded 1895) It measures about 3-5/8 inches wide(the wooden base) by 11-1/2 inches long and is one of the hardest to find old steam engine teaching models. All parts/linkages/etc. move freely and properly including the Piston. When the Flywheel is turned you can see the sliding valve move inside of the visible Valve Chest.pretty cool! Here is a really nice BRASS OILER that came off a vintage SATTLEY Hit Miss Stationary Engine 1-1/2 HP 550 speed. The large glass is approx. 1-1/2" tall x 1-3/4" diameter. The small glass is approx. 13/16" tall x 3/4" diameter. The overall length is 5" The top brass is stamped Lonargan. Phila. Pa. U.S.A. The bottom threads are 3/8 mpt. There is one small crack on the bottom brass and a hairline crack in the bottom glass(see pic 12) both of which could be from"overtightning" or not using gaskets which are not present. I bought this while on vacation in Florida. its runs great. it sets on its own stand/toolbox with 1 drawer under it it has the battery and coil in the box(sealed) Tis engine is headless meaning that the intake and exhaust valves ar in a manifold on the side of the head. it has an incomplete water jacket but it can run indefinitely and not get hot I was into this stuff until my partner in crime(my dad passed away.After that the gas engine shows just wasnt fun for me anymore this can go to somebody else, but it was 1 of my favorites I cant just give it away. a couple of hours and you will have a nice engine. set it on your table at a show and the people will swarm you good luck the flywheels are no more than 6 inches across and overall the engine is no more than 10 inches long I weighs about 20 lbs this was not a cast kit meant to look like ... moresomething else, it was machined from memory and trial and a lot of error

You are bidding on a very nice model of an Olds hit& miss engine. This model has been 95% fully machined. Only thing left to do is balance the flywheels and it will be ready to run. The man that machined this model, machined probably over 100 hit& miss models in his lifetime and was a machine shop owner his whole life, so if your worried about quality, dont be. This was the last model he was working on when he died a few years ago, that is the ONLY reason it is not finished, the family just decided to sell this engine recently. The flywheel hubs are just a touch too thick yet, so they will need to be milled in a lathe, which wont take more than a few minutes. The engine has excellent compression, all parts are machined properly, once you balance the flywheels by drilling a hole or two in the rim, and shave a pass of two off the hubs, ... moreit will be ready for paint, and then the shows! I don't have a lathe or mill, or I would certainly have done it myself. The hard stuff is completely done. Don't pass up the chance to own a very nice Olds model! Antique Hit& Miss throttle governed barn find engine. Rare 1 1/2 hp 1928 International Harvester co engine found on a farm in Adams. MA. It runs on gas and kerosene. I put some fuel in it and it fired up. It is rare to find in this condition. Needs some TLC and I Just have too many projects. Come see for yourself. I will only start it for serious buyers that show me the cash as it needs some work on the oilier and grease cups. I have only started it a couple times using an oil can for lubing it up. Big plus! it comes with original crank. I think it looks great the way it sits but could also be restored. I don't have to sell it, I just don't want to see it sit in my shed where no one else will get a chance to enjoy it.

You are bidding on a very nice. Original Cretors popcorn steam engine. This engine is well over 100 years old and is still in excellent shape. Only flaws are a missing nameplate and one of the ears on the base is broken off, but it's nice clean, flush break. Engine has tons of great original nickel plating, a real nice whistle and everything moves just as it should. I think there may be a little fitting missing that moves the rod up and down on the governor, which is extrememly minor. Governor is in excellent shape with no damage, has Cretors Chicago stamped in it. Very unworn gears all around. The engine turns over great, like I said everything moves fine, I'm sure it would run just fine, I don't have a small enough belt for the governor otherwise I would have made a video. I do not believe the steam gauge is correct, but looks ... moregood on there. I your looking for a high quality piece that will only go up in value, don't let this slip by! Reid Engine Fuel Valve Oilfield Hit & Miss
Up for bid is a 15 to 20 hp Reid type A engine fuel valve. Everything moves freely and there is little to no pitting on the machined surfaces. The valve seat is in pristine shape. The gas spool valve will need to be repaired or replaced however due to the other half of it is missing. That should be an easy repair. There are some cracks only on the forks that connect the spool valves to the pivot arm, those really shouldn't affect the engines operation but if so they can be easily replaced or repaired. Thanks!

Old WILLIAMS Brass 1 1/4" Steam Tractor Engine Throttle Hit Miss Magneto NICE!
This is a real nice original brass steam engine throttle made by thWilliams Company in Cincinnati. Ohio. It is in good used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind and only has minor wrench marks on the hexes. It has 1 1/4 inch pipe threads which are in excellent condition. The lever or handle is about 7 1/2 inches long and has a nice Victorian look to it. Everything works as it should and I believe it is ready to be used on an engine or other project. These original throttles don't turn up very often so if you need one for a project don't miss this one. It would even make a great spare on the shelf for a future project. 1) The largest brass grease cup is a Lukenheimer Co. Ideal No. 3. It is 3 1/4" in diameter. 2) Brass grease cup by Keystone Lubricating Co. It is It is 1 7/8" in diameter. 3) Smallest brass grease cup is unnamed. It is It is 1 5/16" in diameter. 4) Next cup is nickel plated brass. Unnamed it is 1 7/8" in diameter. 5) Last cup is made of steel. There is some light rust on its exterior. It is 1 13/16" in diameter. 6) The Brass oiler is made by Detroit Lubricating Co. No 601. Glass is intact. The oil fill door is spring loaded. Opens and closes easily. It has a pat. date of 3/30/01. It is 1 5/8" in diameter. It is loaded with all the various engines and info that was revelant to that time period. There are 48 numbered pages in the book. As you can see from the pics. there are some condition issues with major staining on the front and back covers, damage along the top right area of the book and toward the back section, there is some staining from the red color of the back cover. Here is an all brass primer cup that measures 1/2" ID and has an 1/8" pipe thread to mount it. I find no maker marks. The actuating lever is 90 degrees to the body in the open position. I just found out this weekend that the Ferro inboard marine engines. Such as type T, used this"backward" type of primer cup. They close with the actuating lever parallel to the primer cup body. Original ELECTRIC WHEEL Hercules Economy Emerson Hit Miss Gas Engine Truck NICE!
This is a real nice original horse drawn engine truck made by the Electric Wheel Company in Peru. IL. It was used by several companies under their engines like Hercules, Economy, Emerson, Fuller Johnson and many others. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has 24 and 32 inch diameter wheels with 3 inch faces. The rails are 12 1/2 inches wide to the outside and 75 inches long. They could easily be changed out for longer or shorter rails. The rear braces are welded to the channels but these could easily be cut and adjusted to the right size for your application. There is a homemade tool/battery box on the front of the truck and it is oil and grease soaked and has been there a long time! The tongue is not original but it gets the job done. Maytag model 92 engine # 442136 Manufactured May 1930 Hit Miss washing machine
Up for consideration is this Maytag 92 engine. I know very little about these motors. What I do know is that it turns over freely and will shock you if you hold the wire. I bought it from an estate. The owner was third generation on the farm and he was a 55 year old Doctor who had recently moved back to the property, he didn't even know what it was but said it had been on the property his whole life. It had a cover that goes over the kick start that looks to be missing. The gas tank smells like gas, I do believe this would run if someone knew what they were doing, Please feel free to ask any questions.

This is a Champion Rod Cup No. 1 Oiler. Made by Lunkenheimer. This is an ORIGINAL oiler! It is in very good condition. As you can see. Both inspection glass windows are very good. have new fibre sealing washers fitted. There is no damage on this oiler from pipe wrenches. Like you usually see on most of these. The wrench hexagons on the filler cap& oiler base show no signs of abuse from adjustable monkey wrenches. Or pipe wrenches, etc. There are no pipe wrench marks on the screw in windows either; which is what you usually see on these. All threads are very good. Original filler plug on the top. The original stamped writing. On each side of the inspection window, is very good& clear on both sides. Overall the oiler stands 3- 7/16" tall from top to bottom. The oiler hasn't been damaged by over polishing or buffing. It has ... morejust been lightly& carefully cleaned up. 2 cylinder reversible stationary hoist steam engine 1800's Tractor Hit Miss Boat
This is an extremely powerful. Two cylinder, reversible steam engine from the late 1800's. It originally ran a hoist in a mine. It could be used to drive a steam truck or steam bus. Steam tractor, steam boat, or even a small geared steam locomotive! Overall. The engine is approximately 37 inches long, 24 1/4 inches wide, and 10 1/4 inches tall. The flywheels are 10 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches wide. The stroke length is 5 inches(measured at the flywheel) Cylinder internal diameter is probably 4 inches. The gear on the flywheel shaft is 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches wide. It has 13( teeth. The engine weighs approximately 600 pounds. This engine turns over extremely easily and smoothly by hand. I got it from a boiler maker who was nearing the end of his days. He got it years ago from someone who had carried it out of ... morean abandoned iron mine in Michigan piece by piece. The boiler maker reassembled it and got it running on compressed air. He used cardboard for a few of the gaskets. I am not sure how the rods are packed. He just wanted to see it run. It is an incredible piece of heavy machinery. Maytag Gas Engine Piston "S 251" with O.E. Rings,Hit & Miss
I do not see many of these. I have no use for it so I am starting the bidding low cause the shipping is a little steep. I Glass bead blasted it and it turned out nice. No cracks or repairs. The top ring is stuck. Must have some glass particles under it. I am not going to fool with it, seems to me that it was loose before I blasted it.
