This magneto has 4 heavy duty magnets marked iNs that provide the low tension“HOT-SPARK” The base is BRASS with 2 offset mounting holes(4 5/8” C-C) on the base marked VD53. The BRASS gear has 55 teeth and is marked VD48. I have no idea what engine this low tension magneto came off. And do not see any cracks, breaks or repairs on this“HOT” magneto. Maytag 72 Twin Gas Engine, 2 Maytag Champion Plugs, Eisemann Boots Hit & Miss
This is a Maytag two stroke-cycle twin cylinder gasoline engine that originally powered a Maytag wringer washing machine in 1946. The owner probably got rural power soon after that and electrified his wife's washing machine and saved this cute little engine inside somewhere. This fine original engine turns over and has compression but I never tried to make it run. It originally hung from the bottom of the washing machine. Someone made the crude wood enclosure it is still in in order to make it run and possibly use if for some chore on the farm. I bought this engine and muffler for $40 at an antique shop just east of Lewistown Montana back in 1976. I remember driving my 1975 Corvette convertible at that time and had quite a time figuring out how to haul this engine home in that car. I knew I just had to have it because it came with the ... moreoriginal muffler and even had both of the original Maytag script Champion spark plugs in it as well as both of the original Eisemann rubber spark plug boots intact. Both of the decals are original and are still quite nice considering that they are almost 70 years old. Old Lunkenheimer Mockingbird 5 Inch Steam Whistle Hit Miss Gas Engine Tractor
This is a pretty nice original and VERY hard to find Lunkenheimer 5 inch Mockingbird steam whistle. It seems to be in good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is a rather large whistle and is about 26 inches long overall. It is marked with the Lunkenheimer name and has a patent date on the other side of the body. The slide moves freely. This whistle has 1 1/2 inch pipe threads. The dome is in great shape with only a few very minor dings. I believe this whistle could be plumbed up to steam or compressed air and used just the way it is. Both the slide and the valve have short cables attached to use it. These larger mockingbird whistles are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and really turn some heads when they are polished up and displayed at the shows! 1935 John Deere 1 1/2 Horse Hit and Miss Model E Gas Engine
Up for auction here is a John Deere 1 1/2 horse Model E hit and miss gas engine. The serial number tag on this engine is brass and the number is 331154 making this a 1935 engine. There are no cracks breaks or welds that I can find and the engine does run. Both the igniter and magneto have been rebuilt by a company called Mainely Magnetos out of Cross Lake. Maine. Old Biddle Hit Miss Gas Engine Dynamo Tachometer Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler
For the enthusiast. This auction features a vintage Biddle tachometer. This is a really neat original early hand held tachometer sold by the James Biddle Company in Philadelphia and made in Switzerland. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is tested and fully functioning. It is in the original case and has all the original included parts. It has a switch on it that you can move to check shaft speeds from 0-6000 rpm's. These early tachometers are almost impossible to find and are indispensible tools to have when running engines or belt driven implements. This one is in excellent condition and ready to go to work. The covering on the original case shows typical wear. But easily forgiven. Previous owner had some hand-written notes which are included.

For auction is a Thordarson low tension ignition coil. Thordarson cast iron coil. Manufactured in Chicago. This coil is in good condition for its age. The cast iron coil weighs 6# and is 3 1/2" high and the base print is 4 1/2" Dates very early in the last Century. The outside of the case was clean ed to show true condition. There is some pitting on the outside of the case. This coil is being sold in as found condition. Untested. I will be listing other coils today, I can combine shipping for the same price to ship one. Original Maytag Battery Coil Upright Multi-Motor Hit & Miss Gas Engine Project !
This is a Maytag Battery- Coil Upright Multi-Motor 2 Cycle Gas Engine. From An Early Gas Powered Model 43 Wood Washer From About 1916- 1921. This is In Need Of A full Restoration.Or to Use For Parts. The Engine Is Clean& will Be Easy To Get Appart. This Still Has All Of the Original Crown Headed Bolts. The Cylinder Jug Is Nice But The Top Fin Is Broken As Can Be Seen In the Pictures, Bore looks Good As does The Piston, But Will Need Rings, Seems to fit the cylinder nice! The original Governor is missing. But I Have A one-piece Governor Arm That I am Including, As well As A useable commutator, the Main Bearing Has One Ear That Will Need repaired, as well as One of the mounting Feet, I Am Also Including A piece from Another engine That Can Be used to Fix it, I have fixed A couple in the Past This Way& It works good. This is The More ... morecommon Style Upright With A"Rib" In The Middle of the crank case. the Carburetor Mounted on the Side Of the Crank case, Not On The Main Bearing. Old Johnson Utilimotor Hit Miss Gas Engine Briggs Stratton Maytag Steam Tractor
This is a real nice older restoration Johnson Utilimotor. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can find or know of. It turns over nicely with excellent compression. It has great spark and should be ready to run. It has a real nice Briggs and Stratton muffler on it. It also has a v belt pulley so you can run different belt driven items. These Johnson's are getting tougher to find every day so if you've been looking for one here's your chance. This one is mounted on a neat little skid with a throttle control and would be a neat addition to your air cooled engine lineup at the shows. All of the hard work is done on this one. There is one very small bead of weld on the rim as you can see in the first picture. I think somebody had a timer on it for a buzz coil. It won't hurt anything and could easily be ground off. It IS A Kissel Or"Water Witch" They Were Under Wash Machines That were Sold thru Sears, Roebuck Co, Back in the Late 40's They Are Similar To The Maytag Engines But Share some of the same features as the WMB Briggs& Stratton Engines. This Engine IS being Sold Just As Found. I thought it was A cute Little Engine& Have Had it setting On My Shelf For Over 10 Years. I Have Only Seen A couple Others, This One being the most complete, Better Condition! This Has A serial Number Of IN2776 It uses A Wico Ignition System. This is a rather scarce original canvas wallet or pocket book holder from the Rock Island Plow Company. It measures about 4 x 7 inches and unfolds to 8 x 7 inches. It is in decent condition for its age with some minor wear and tearing as can be seen. It advertises their sulky plows and corn planters which was probably the only products they produced at the time. It would be a fine addition to your early agricultural memoribilia collection or display especially if you like Rock Island tractors. Engines, or equipment. 4 cast iron 5 inch wheels hit miss engine industrial cart Unusual Hub Design
A set of 4 cast iron wheels that were removed from a vintage platform scale. The wheels have an unusual split hub design. The wheels were bolted to the platform scale frame and the hub halves touched each other which allowed the wheels to rotate around them. The threads on the bolts do have some damage. The bolts can be replaced or a continues axle can be used. The wheels are 5 inches in diameter and the face of the wheel is 7/8 inch. The hole in the hubs are apr. 9/16 of an inch. The parts were given a basic cleaning to look for any damage. Cracks, etc. None were found. Will need further cleaning. Surface rust. Shipping will be 12.00 for a medium priority flat rate box. Vintage Dempster Burr Grinder - Corn Mill Hit Miss Engine Beartrice Ne Windmill
Vintage Dempster Hit Miss Burr Grinder/Mill and stands around 22 inches tall without the funnel/hopper. I did not try turning anything so it may need some cleaning. The bottom base does not have any chips or cracks. Looks like it missing a latch/bolt that holds the cover which is shown in the 6th picture. The funnel/hopper is dented and does not have any weak spots in the metal. I will ship the items in different boxes and UPS Shipping shows it will be around $75 for each coast.

Nice looking piece.Would compliment any engine.Nickle plated and think brass under it as magnet does not stick to any of it. 5-1/2 inches tall with the screw adjusted as it is.
