Nice two bar brass Webster low tension magneto hit & miss gas engine farm L@@K!!
You are bidding on a nice. 2 bar brass Webster low tension magneto. It has pot metal endplates which doesn't hurt a thing, and you can switch them back to brass for cheap from many engine parts suppliers. There is a cracked magnet as you can see. The armature is stuck, but I would imagine it's going to be easy to free up, I haven't even attempted it, so it may even turn with a wrench. Brass body websters are not easy to find, and this one needs work, but these mags are almost fool proof, I've had probably a couple hundred now, and only one or two have needed a coil or a charge. If you don't want to pay major bucks for a rebuilt, don't let this slip by! One stud is missing but threads are excellent. 4 new studs wouldn't hurt. Large Antique No.6 G.B. Essex Brass Co. Detroit Mich Oiler Hit Miss/Steam Engine
Here is nice Essex oiler in very good condition. This is a No. 6 oiler and is stamped on the nut. The height is approx 8" high x 3 3/4" in diameter. The oiler is in as found condition with old patina and residue on glass bowl. I believe the sight glass is too small for the oiler as there is gasket material around it. The top of the oiler has old tape on it where it appears to be brighter than the old patina on the brass. There is hardly any wrench marks on the nut. Everything seems to be free and functional! This would make a nice addition to an oiler collection or to use on a Gas or steam engine. Selling with NO RESERVE!

Maytag 72 Twin Hit Miss Engine-Completely Restored I met an older gentleman in N. Ca who spent his life restoring these wonderful engines back to like new condition. As you can see from the pictures'she's' a real beauty. Engine was completely stripped. New epoxy paint, new rings, all internals, including'hot' coils for a good spark, plugs, plug wires, etc. Maytag engine decals as well on nice wood base. As an added convenience, he put a copper and brass spigot on the fuel tank, so you easily drain whatever fuel you don't use when you run the engine. He ran it for an hour, and I have run it for 1/2 an hour. Runs beautifully. I cannot warranty the engine as it is rebuilt by someone else. But it has run beautifully for me. This engine is so clean and beautiful I keep it in the house in my study on a nice rug to show it ... moreoff. I will remove the starting pedal and pack inside box with the engine. The recommended mix is 8 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas. According to Maytag records. The flywheel#942976 was manufactured in Dec 1940. This is a very heavy little engine and requires very careful packing. I will go to great lengths to pack it carefully. Shipping with full Insurance will be a flat $99.00. It will probably cost me more than that. So please don't complain. Mail and shipping prices like the cost of bread, are out of my control these days. You are bidding on an exceptionally nice Ideal R hit& miss engine. The engine is in great shape mechanically. Excellent compression and no bad knocks or noises when running. The carburetor is not correct, but it works perfect and will never give you any trouble. I have ran this engine by squirting gas into the carburetor and it runs very good. Hits hard and coasts as long as I've seen a small engine coast. Gas tank is built into the base. If your looking for a cute, true hit and miss flywheel engine, this is it. Original muffler! I can deliver to Portland, IN show for $25 or strap to a pallet and deliver to Fastenal for shipping for $25 as well. Shipping should run $100-$175 depending on where you are. Railroad Speeder Engine Motor Car Fairmont Kalamazoo Old Gas Hit Miss Brass Era
This listing is for what I believe is an early 2 cylinder. Opposed, air cooled, 4 stroke cycle engine from an early railroad speeder or motor car. A friend thought that it might have been made by Buda. The majority of the parts for the forward and reverse friction drive transmission are included. The friction wheel will have to be relined with material similar to that used on Rockwood belt pulleys on early farm tractors. This engine is not stuck and turns over fine but has very little compression so I am sure it will need a valve job before it runs again. This rather unusual engine has a lot of aluminum castings in it. These castings include the crankcase. Finned oil pan, crankcase vent housing, intake manifold and rear main bearing housing. Aluminum may have been used to help minimize the weight of the railroad speeder so that it was easier ... moreto put on and off of the tracks. The 15-3/4" diameter by 1-7/16" thick flywheel and both cylinders appear to be made of cast iron as are most of the parts of the friction drive forward and reverse transmission. The barrel of the cylinders above the flange measures about 3-3/4" in diameter. If the cylinder walls are 1/8" thick at this point. The cylinder bore would be 3-1/2" Assuming that this engine is over square as most were in the 20's and 30's, the stroke might be about 4-1/2" This would give an engine displacement of 86.5 cubic inches. Back when a 200.5 cubic inch Model A Ford engine produced 40 horsepower, this engine may have produced around 15 to 17 horsepower. The distributor cap was missing but I noticed that this tiny distributor was made by Delco Remy. It looked a lot like the distributor used in 1927 to 1928 Chevrolets with 4 cylinder engines. I found a tiny Delco Remy 4 cylinder distributor cap on eBay and it fits fine. I have not yet ordered a distributor rotor but they are available on eBay for a 1932 Plymouth for $10. Old SANDWICH Hit Miss Gas Engine Serial Name Tag Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler WOW
This is an old serial or name tag for a Sandwich hit and miss gas engine. I'm not sure how old it is or if it is an original but it is not new. It came from the estate of an early collector so there is a chance that it is new old stock. It measures about 1 9/16 x 3 1/16 inches and is brass. It has some tarnishing and staining from living in a drawer in the old farm shop but just enough to give it authentic character. These serial tags don't turn up very often so if you need one for any reason don't pass it up. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. Good Luck.

Vintage Tractor Hit-Miss engine HAND CRANK STARTER 1 3/8" hex socket wrench tool
Vintage hand crank wrench/socket. Not sure exactly what it fits. Probably a old tractor or hit-Miss stationary motor. 45 1/2 inches long. About 1 3/8" socket end that is 6 sided. Weighs about 7 pounds. Metal mostly nice aged smooth finish with surface rust and only light pitting. Some age and wear as would be expected of this old of an item(see all 7 photos for cosmetic condition) It is in as found condition and will look even better with a proper cleaning. This is a VERY hard to find original owner's manual and parts book for the Associated hit and miss and throttling governor gas engines made in Waterloo. Iowa. It measures about 6 x 9 1/4 inches with 36 pages and is in excellent condition for being nearly a century old! It covers all of the engines they built from 1 3/4 to 25hp. It is heavily illustrated with the parts and would be a great reference piece in your library or also a nice display piece along with your engine at the shows. It will likely be a long time before another one turns and it probably won't be this nice. The pictures tell the story. You won't be disappointed in any way. 6" Endless FLAT BELT for Hit & Miss Gas Engine or tractor Equipment 42' long loo
Offered without reserve is a good used 6" wide Endless Flat belt used typically to drive various farm or industrial equipment such as threshing machines. Saw mills, water pumps, etc. This belt is in very good condition overall with typical light fraying on the edges, it is still pliable and strong, I think this belt has many many years of service left. I unrolled it and it measures approx. 21' end to end so the belt is about 42' long overall. It has a rubberized surface over a canvas type material that I think would have very good traction on a drive pulley. Witte Dieselectric Power Plant 1930's Hit and Miss engine Complete engine
This antique Witte Engine was taken out of my Grandfathers service station in Mission South Dakota back in the 1980's. It was brought back to my Fathers house in 1997 where it was last ran and then stored. I am not exactly sure if this is the 6 or the 12hp model as the id tag on the engine is gone. The engine is complete and still turns over and I am pretty sure this thing will start and run as Like I said we started it and it ran when it was put in storage. My Grandfather used this engine to power his station back in the 1940's and 1950's. I am pretty sure as well it is a early 1930's model as that is what my father told me. I also have the electrical box that goes along with this unit as well but I forgot to put it in the pictures. The engine is being sold as is because I can make no guarantees on it.
