Maytag 31 11 19 72 82 92 Restored Hit Miss Engine Antique Vintage BEAUTIFUL!
I am letting a couple engines go to fund another. This is a restored Maytag model 31. Work done includes: new rings, new copper coated gaskets, new kick pedal spring, 2 new brass plugs in the tank, hand made brass inspection cover and spark shut-off lever thing. completely rebuilt mixer and fuel pick-up tube, new connecting rod, new condenser, new spark plug wire and a NOS Champion spark plug, and of course new paint and decals. Some of the polished surfaces have tarnished, or light rust has formed. I restored the engine two years ago, ran it for 5 minutes, then just took it to shows as an eye catcher. It is sitting on a VERY sturdy skid which is unstained. It is a herder to find model 31 short base. It has the optional and RARE small pulley on it. Valve cover for 2 HP LA/LB IHC Hit Miss Gas Engine
Here is a valve cover for an early LB IHC gas engine. These are often missing and are hard to find in nice condition. This one is very good with no damage. Still has the pipe on it also. Which is usually broken off. Lots of engines are missing these and there aren't enough spares to go around! Don't miss out on a hard to find piece for your gas engine. Old 1 1/4" WATERS Steam Engine Tractor Governor Hit Miss Gas Magneto Oiler NICE
This is a very hard to find original Waters 1 1/4 inch governor. These were commonly used on steam engines as well as a few gas engines. It was made by the Waters Governor Company in Boston. Mass. and is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The drive shaft with the drive pulley on it is spring loaded and has a pin to hold it in a positive position. The hole for the pin is worn a bit and the pin doesn't stay in tightly without a holder but this could easily be remedied with a better, more square hole to collar that holds it in the positive position. It has little noticeable wear on the gears or on the shaft. Everything seems to move as it should. It stands about 24 inches tall overall. The hole pattern on the flanges is 2 5/8 inches square and the hole on each side are 1 1/4 inches in diameter. I ... morewould say that with just a little attention it would be ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. These original Waters governors are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually need a complete rebuild. Original FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Truck Wagon Steel Wheels WOW
This is a rather hard to find original cart for a Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It was used under the 3hp Z but would look good under any engine 1 1/2 to 3hp in size. It has the original handle on the front axle. It is ready to put to use under an engine! The wheels measure 12 inches in diameter with a 2 inch face. It is in great condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and with the exception of one of the wheels having some very nice welding around the rim end of the spokes. I've owned this cart for a long time and never even noticed this. It's extremely well done and very hard to notice. There are also a few nails used as cotter pins to keep the wheels in place but these would be easy enough to replace. Factory carts like these are pretty hard to find in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance ... moreon it. It would certainly make moving your engine around easier! The teeth look good and the gear runs fairly true. The gear has part number GA 6914 cast in relief. The hole is 1 inch in diameter and is in very good shape. You are bidding on a great running 1hp IHC Famous hit and miss engine. The engine has been spark plugged. But they did a great job with the spark plug plate. Only repairs I can see on the engine, is a braze on the carburetor and a braze on the pushrod, both looks like nice old repairs. It has the original brass connecting rod, which is in good shape. The engine has really nice compression, runs nice and slow, and hits strong. The original pulley is in good shape with no issues, the muffer is correct as well, but it's a repop out of brass, looks great. Head, valves and rocker all are in good shape with no issues. If you want to make this engine all correct, all you need is an ignitor, trip assembly and gas tank. Does come with an oiler, just not pictured. Holds water great, no leaks anywhere. You are bidding on a very nice. And really rare model Fairmont engine. The engine is all cast iron except carb, no aluminum hopper like most. It's a throttling engine(not hit& miss) The engine has a factory, working governor which 99% of Fairmonts do NOT have. It was made to run a generator for home use. Model number is OG. And horse power is 5-8. Has original priming cup on the side of cylinder for easy starting, the engine starts very easy and runs great. It has super compression and very little wear. The only negative, is there is a small roughly 3" freeze crack on the side of the jug, but it barely weeps when the engine gets hot, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Flywheels run true, no wobble. The only thing the engine is missing is the gas tank, which shouldn't be hard to hook one up. This is a two cycle engine, ... moreand very fun to play with, it will run either direction. The engine will run better than it is in the video as soon and you get a tank hooked up, we were feeding it gas in the video. If you collect 2 cycle engines or just engines in general, this is a Fairmont you probably won't have the chance to buy again. No dissapointments! Look at the pictures and watch the video. I very knowledgable welder and machinist built this cart from scratch to an exact copy of an original cart. When I bought this cart with an engine on it, it took me a few weeks before I even noticed it wasn't factory made. He went to alot of trouble to make it, he rolled the wheels, made the spokes, bolsters, swivel in the front, the pull handle, etc. All welds look flawless, take a look at the pictures and you will agree. You are bidding on a very nice 1 1/2hp Sattley engine made by Field Brundage out of Jackson. MI. The engine is in great shape. Compression is excellent, and it fires right up with ease every time. The Wico EK, is nice and hot, throws a great spark. I looked the engine over and can't find any cracks breaks or welds. Flywheels run true. Muffler and pulley are original and in good shape. Nameplate is original and also in nice shape. Gas tank and skids are original, if that tells you how little this engine has seen the elements! No water leaks or gas tank leaks. There is honestly nothing bad to say about this engine, other than a little wrist pin clunk, which sounds worse than it is due to the solid flywheels amplifying all noises. The cart the engine is on, is very well built, as far as homemade carts go, this is the cadillac of carts, it's ... moreso nice, it may be one they are mass producing I'm not sure, regardless, you couldn't ask for a better cart for this engine. The restoration on the engine looks top notch, with nice pinstriping and dark green paint, it looks like no shortcuts were made on this one. You are bidding on by far the nicest original burr mill I have ever owned. It is a"Little Wonder" sold by David Bradley. This grinder hasn't seen many days outside. As you can see. It has lots of nice yellow pinstriping all over it, as well as the stenciled name, and a BEAUTIFUL original decal! There is almost no wear in the shaft on this grinder, and no signs of much use. I think its as close to new old stock as you are ever going to find, or be able to buy. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere, I have looked it over very well. Welcome to my Auction! This auction is for Falk engine coupled to a Dynamo sold by Rumely Falk 3 HP volume governed sideshaft engine 1910-1912 or there after. This Falk engine tag reads: The Falk Co. Milwaukee Licensed under SECOR-HIGGINS System of Oil Combustion Kerosene Engines 1907 Engine# A 987 3 HP 560 RPM. Rumley started building Falk engines in 1912 and at some point before 1915 the engines were re named Rumley/ Falk. The engine is igniter fired. Has a fuel pump, both valves are driven from cams on the side shaft, the governor is also on the sideshaft, cooled from the cooling tank and sitting on its original wood skid. The Dynamo is belt driven from the engines flywheel. It is also high quality with the bearings being lubricated by the oil contained in reservoirs locater below the bearings. The original switch board is mounted on the ... moresidewall of the trailer. Beside this is an up to date fully fused electrical panel. The original panel reads: Rumely Automatic Switchboard Pats. pending by the W. L. Co. Size 1,500/ Volts 110(DC) Plant#150 Serial#2067 Rumely Products Co. Laporte Ind. This Falk engine. Cooling tank, dynamo, Rumely switchboard and wooden skid were installed near the Chattahooochee river for home electrical power on an Omaha Georgia Cotton Plantation, some time around 1910. I had this Falk/ Dynamo project ongoing at my shop for several years before completion in 2008. The decision was made to use up to date control equipment to make sure this power plant could be operated safely. The engine was restored using a new fuel tank which is mounted in the engines base. Most of the lubricators are Lunkenheimer. The original cooling tower was restored and a lid added. The cooling water does not have to be drained when traveling to and from shows during the summer months. To start the engine: see instructions in the photos. After the engine starts. The top glass is 3" X 3" Overall condition is very good with no chips or cracks on both top and bottom glass. Overall height is 6 1/2" and it has 1/2" connecting threads. Real nice original carb for a 3 or a 4hp NOVO engine. It is complete with no cracks. Breaks, or welds. Has some original gold paint on it. Needle valve turns. Has the little cover and chain for the bowl. Has the original brass drain on the bottom. Mounts in a 1 1/2" hole. Part number 4S95 on the upper part and 4S96 on the bowl. Perfect carb with no issues. SPLITDORF 30 MAGNETO, sumter 30, sumter JR GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS
This is an original SPLITDORF model 30 magneto. Same as a SUMTER 30 or SUMTER JR. Complete mag. Turns and was never stuck. I took the end cover off and it is very clean inside and never any rust. Had a gear on it when I got it which I kept but when you spun the gear by hand it would flash a 12 volt test light pretty bright so its definetly hot. There is some play in the drive end bushing. Threads in the bottom are perfect. Base is in great condition with no signs of ageing or cracking. Has the original brass name band on it Good solid mag with no issues except play in the drive end bushing. Didnt do any cleaning on the outside to leave it original looking. Original WICO EK magneto I just picked up. Tested it on the bench and it sparked every time. All brass covers with stop button. Looks very clean around the bottom and was never rusty. Threaded mounting holes are perfect. Lead out tower looks brand new. Has the normal little dents and dings on the covers you would expect to see but other than that looks like a real nice magneto. This is an original Webster Magneto Bracket for a small Nelson Brothers Little Jumbo. 1 1/2 or 1 3/4hp. Number 303M47. No cracks. Breaks, or welds. Complete and everything works and moves as it should. Points are good and thick yet. Has a brass priming cup on it. Had a mag on it when I got it and it would spark nice and worked great. Antique Hit & Miss Site Glass Breather Oiler Engine Steam Boiler IH Tractor
Hit and Miss Stationary Engine Site Glass Oiler or Condensate Water Trap and Air Intake Breather Filter Oiler is of unknown brand. I did brief search of patent# and came up empty. Patent number on oiler door appears to be 33015. The 5 is a bit swiggly, could also be a 3 or 8. The casting mark on breather T appears to be IH. Diameter of oiler is 1- 1/4" Length of the whole oiler. Top nut to threaded fitting end, is 3" The casting web. Inside breather was a rough casting and is not broken, threading holds screw. These two items were found the way you see them on a shelf in my barn. I'm not sure if they were always together, or what they were mounted on, the person who set them there has passed on. Hit & Miss Gas Farm Engine Cart Unknown Make Steerable Front Wheels AS FOUND
This is a cart from a Hit& Miss engine. It is in very good condition. I do not know what make it would be for but it would work well with an engine that is around 1 1/2 HP. This is as I found it. Green paint with yellow pinstripe. The front axle does not pivot to turn but has steerable wheels, a little different them most carts. No Reserve I am listing this with Local Pickup Only but if the Buyer wants to make arrangements I can strap this to a pallet and drop it at the Fastenal in Easton PA. I am also planning to go to the Snow Show at Jacktown and could bring it along. I live about 20 minutes from the show.

Original WEBER Kerosene Hit Miss Gas Engine Sales Poster Steam Tractor Oiler WOW
This is pretty scarce if not rare original sales advertising poster for the Weber kerosene engines made in Kansas City Missouri. It measures about 4 x 9 inches and unfolds to a poster size of 12 x 18 inches. It is in good condition for being nearly a century old but does had some wear and separation on the folds but very little that takes away from the displayability of the piece. It shows all of the specifications. Variations, features, and accessories for them. It also has a chart for prices for the engines and it appears that prices have been slashed for the introduction of the engine! It has a nice color lithograph of the Weber engine on skids and would look great in a frame displayed with your engine or on the wall of your workshop or library. Old IHC 3hp M Hit Miss Gas Engine Diecast Magneto Gear Ignitor Fired Oiler
This is an original diecast magneto drive gear for a 3hp International Harvester Type M ignitor fired gas engine. It is original IHC part number 9779T. It has a 3/8 inch hole for the magneto armature shaft and the keyway is in great shape. The gear measures about 3 1/8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch face and has 36 teeth. It is in excellent condition except that it needs one tooth repaired. The tooth is included and with a little space age adhesive and some creativity I'm sure the gear would work just fine. The last two pictures are with the tooth in place. If you need a magneto gear to complete a restoration or just for a spare on the shelf here's one that will work with a little elbow grease. M1 Webster Magneto Igniter 1 1/2 HP Economy Hercules Gas Engine Hit Miss
Here is a very rare piece! This magneto and igniter is for the small Hercules built engines. M1 is for the 1 1/2 HP engines I believe. This is a nice mag and everything on it is in good condition as far as I can see. I haven't tested it. But it looks like it should work with a bit of cleanup.
