Thank you for looking at my generator. This MB-19 diesel generator is a 1967 model military generator. It starts and runs fine. I have only used power from the convenience outlet. I am selling it. As it is far too big for my needs. It will need 2 12volt batteries to use, as I am not including those. It has low hours on the hour meter, though that appears to have been replaced at some point in time. The battery charging transformer has been removed, and I will included a separate battery charger that will run off of the 120vac outlet, or can be wired in. I have not wired this unit to anything from the junction box, as I don't have anything to wire to it. I was planning on updating the control panel to a modern unit to simplify the military wiring, but have not done so at this time. I did buy a modern AVR, and will include that with the ... moreunit. 1990 ONAN 50 KW DIESEL GENERATOR NO RESERVE!!!!!
This is an Onan 50KW generator with a cummins 6 cylinder diesel engine. It was removed from service more than one year ago to be replaced by a larger unit and it has been stored indoors. I have started it and run it for about 15 minutes. The unit starts easy and comes up to speed as it should. When running the volt meter reads 480 volt. There is a wiring diagram inside that shows it can be changed to 1 or 3 phase and 120/208 volt up to 277/480 volt. I have no other operating or maintenance history on it. Included with the generator will be the exhaust flex pipe. Muffler, battery charger, transfer switch, factory operation and parts manual and a day tank with float controlled transfer pump. You can have the battery to return for core charge, but it is bad from sitting to long. The hour meter reads 139 hours.
