Allis Chalmers Gleaner KL238 2 row corn head - fits Gleaner K or K2 combine
You are viewing a used Gleaner two row corn head for corn planted on wide rows. I bought it from a neighbor that kept it shedded and it is in good condition. I bought a Gleaner K from him and this corn head came with it. I use a six row narrow planter and already have a three row head to fit my Gleaner K. So I do not need this head. I do not have shed room to keep it in out of the weather, so it is for sale. I am not going to give it away or scrap it though as a lot of the gathering chains and other parts on it will fit my three row head. The head is in very good condition. And does not look like it was used very much. It has the newer style roller chains instead of the flat chain like the older ones had. It has ear deflectors on the snouts which the olders ones did not have either. It was used on a K gleaner, but I have seen this same head ... moreused on a model E gleaner. You would have to make some adjustments to it before you could use it on a E as the K has a chain drive for the head whereas the E used a belt drive. It weighs around 1800 pounds and I have a crane and forklifts to load it with if you come pick it up. If you need it shipped. I can remove the snouts to make it shorter and strap it to a pallet- you pay the freight charges. PAYMENT AND AUCTION REQUIREMENTS Do not ask me to sell it early. Or take less than the starting price. I will not end the auction for a local sale either. I can load it onto anything that you send to pick it up. VINTAGE Metal ALLIS CHALMERS PLANTER FERTILIZER SEED BOX
Nice Allis Chalmers. Metal seed or fertilizer box in very good and solid condition with a spring loaded lid. As it is in the picture, not counting the bracket which the planter is bolted to,measures 10 inches tall, 8 inches wide, 7 1/2 inches deep. The gears and things on the bottom are in good working order and inside the box is a little dirty but has no damage or rusted out areas. Very Light surface rust on outside, nothing serious. I am sure you can use these for planting or make good flower boxes or yard art.I have more than one if interested! This is an old original Allis Chalmers Forage Harvester and Forage Blower advertising book. All the pictures are in color. It is full of photos and information. The large book measures about 8 1/2" x 11" and has 16 pages. It is in good condition with some wear and a vertical crease through the center where it has been folded.
