This Bulb is in nearly new condition since it was installed less than 2 years ago. I had a light switch so I only used this occasionally when I wanted to light up my driveway(like when I had visitors. Car mechanic work, etc) I upgraded my ballast to a brighter bulb so I have no need for this one. For shipping the bulb will be safely inside the box that came with my new bulb. That box will be inside a shipping box with some sort of packing to keep it safe. I suggest selecting Priority Mail since it includes shipping insurance.
