A vintage 1992 Carver TFM- 15 CB power amplifier which my husband and I found this month at a local estate sale. We are not audio dealers or collectors; we just recognized the high quality name. So we took it to a knowledgeable professional's audio shop and paid to see if it works. He brought it up to operating voltage on a Variac. The output was tested at 100 Hz. 1Khz. and 10 Khz. It is working fine according to all factory specs. But we also learned that the green dot on the back of the case, and number on the side probably indicate this was"B stock" It did not pass final factory inspection because the left meter is not reading correctly. You can see in the second picture that the needle isn't in the proper resting position, and while operating, it is slow to return from peaks. This problem is not affecting the power output ... moreor quality of sound. The receipt and papers with explanation, dealer's name, phone number and place of business will be included. We do not have the instruction manual. Cosmetically, it's in like new condition, and was found still wrapped in factory sealed plastic. There is no wear on the plug, and not a spec of dust inside. K&K Sound Dual Channel PRO ST preamp in great condition with AC adapter and adjustment tool. I used this preamp very carefully at performances and for recording over the last year and it has not failed in any way. The volume pots have been cleaned with some WD 40. As per the K&K Sound chief engineer's specifications and it sounds great. I recently upgraded some equipment and this item has to go. Two of the plastic nuts on the jacks show cracks, but the cracks have not changed one bit since I got it and it has shown no issues at all. The AC adapter puts out more volts and gives a little more boost to the eq, but I also used a 9v battery and it was about the same. I am also including an adjustment screwdriver for the mini pots. Welcome! I'm offering this rare belt buckle of an Eagle Dancer Kachina ceremonial dancer by the renowned Helen and Lincoln Zunie. Who were among the all time great masters of Zuni silversmith artistry. Their work resides in the best museums and galleries and is highly prized as well as highly priced. It is also featured in many books, including Bassman, Bell, and Schaaf's books. And you can see a similar buckle to this one in the book"Kachinas and Ceremonial Dancers in Zuni Jewelry. That author values his own buckle at $500-750. This one is more elaborate. It is raised inlay and there is hand made beautiful etching on the yellow lip shells to represent the leaves, and there is more detail in the design. Probably this one is older than the one in the book but the eagle dancer is the same and this is signed by the couple. I'd ... moreconsider this one to be a"best quality" example. The corners with the turquoise are the same as that in the book and the silver work framing the buckle is the same, with the twisted wire framing the sides. There are additionally however hand made hand applied raindrops decorating the dancer on this buckle. The keeper is swivel type which is more comfortable than the static type, and this piece is in excellent vintage condition; it's in great shape and it's really a gorgeous example, with some tarnish and patina on the silver which should clean off nicely if you wish. The dimensions of the buckle are 2 3/8” H X 3 ½” W. A big size and it can hold a leather belt of 1-5/8" wide or a bit wider. It is not signed for metal content which is usual for those times but as mentioned, it is signed by the artists with their hallmark. It weighs a hefty 87grams.
