NICE LIGHT WEIGHT BUT SOLID WOOD TRIPOD BRASS FITTING
Here is a very nice old camera tripod. There is no marking on the piece but it looks turn of the century-1930s era. Made of oak with a nice golden oak finish. It stands a good 55 inches and slides together to a compacted 39 inches. The tripod is light to haul but has a sturdy stance to it. The brass fittings are all there and has a nice patina to it. Original wiring works well. But could use rewiring for safety. Legs are slightly loose- I'm not sure how to tighten them. Lamp does stand solidly though, even with the slightly loose legs. Davidson Star D Aluminum Camera Tripod (VINTAGE) Light
Up for auction is this vintage Davidson D tripod. Expands to 56 inches and collapses 22 inches. Tripod weighs only 2 1/2 pounds. As fully adjustable head on it with screw. Can't find the model number on it. All legs extend and lock in except for one of the smaller legs you have to play with the get it to lock-in at full length.
