Up for sale is my Peavey Classic 50/50 all tube power amp and a 3 space road case with an 8 plug Alesis Power Conditioner with retractable rack lights. Newly retubed with about 8 hours on the tubes. The conditioner has 5 hours on it. INCLUDED: Osp Case cost $110 new. Alesis Power Conditioner with retractable rack lights(8 plug) cost is $99.00 new. MARSHALL JMP1 IN SOME OF THE PIX IS NOT INCLUDED IN LISTING. ThIs Amp alone used usually fetches $300 to $375 by itself. All units are in excellent condition. Get it all in one. Just add a power amp and processor and have a screaming rig. The mesa 50/50 or 2:50 has nothing on this Peavey amp. Just a lot of hype. I have owned both and ... morethe Mesa spent more time in the shop than I could afford. This Peavey is a special gem. It is loaded with 8 El84 tubes. 2 12AX7's and one At7. The sound is much brighter and the overdrive is much more controllable, tighter and NOT lacking bottom than the 6L6 dark tube compliment that Mesa uses. Each channel has a resonance(here is where you get the heavy bottom) Presence(treble) and a volume control on the front. The back panel boasts a level control for each channel. 4,8 and 16 ohm switching, 2 outputs per channel, 2 inputs per channel and a stereo mono bridge switch to make it 100 watts mono. It is also equipped with XLR Balanced outputs on both channels. It is fan cooled( I installed a quieter fan) and housed in a heavy metal chassis. Warning: this amp does not ship well by itself and that is part of the reason I am offering the OSP case to ship it in. A plus is having the 8 plug power conditioner with pull out rack lights. It is nothing short of coolness. The Power Conditioner and Case would cost an extra $200 if purchased separately. I am setting the buy it now at $395. A good deal no matter how you slice it. Bogen and Sherwood Output & Power Transformers for 6L6 PP stereo tube amp
These are the output and power transformers for building a 6L6 Pentode type push pull amplifier. This would be a lower power. But easier to listen type amp. Of course. Other possible candidates could be used. Power transformer is from a Sherwood 8000 series. See schematic snippet in the pics for specs. Transformer is thru-chassis mount(my favorite) approx dim is 4" x 3-1/4" bolt centers. Stands about 2.5" above chassis. Part number is B933L4-4A MFG code is A949 6413. The output trannys are from a Bogen running 6L6 and are 5K PP to 8 ohms. With 5K we are allowed a place to build a"small" 6L6 at a lower current. The trannys are rated for 20W in the original unit. I do not recommend more than about 40mA idle per side in these. These are 3-1/8" hole to hole standing 2.5" tall with a nice large coil. Part number ... moreis 512-21359B on both. For this one I went ahead and plotted a likely schematic based on a class AB PP output stage driven by 6SN7's. By likely I mean something I might breadboard to see what I got. Of course you are not limited to this congiguration. But my schematic is available to anyone that asks via the Ask Seller a Question. I am selling my much loved Copland valve power amplifier. It is in fabulous condition. I have had it a while and is currently running on new KT88's which have a bit more power than 6550's. It is now a classic piece of audio design and was very well received in the HiFi press when it was released trumping much of competition at its price point. Especially Audio Research and Conrad Johnson. It has a very useful triode and pentode switch letting you run in both configurations. Pentode gives you more power and dynamics with greater volume capacity. The triode is more refined and really opens the midrange up making it more detailed and tactile. Very good for late night female vocal type stuff! I've always found this power amplifier very elegant and minimal looking for such a big powerful amp. Good clean lines very Scandinavian. Dimensions: ... more40D x 43W x 17H cm It has been well looked after its whole life and no real marks on it worth noting or that I could photo. It will be well packed for posting and I will take care in making sure it is well secured. Sonically it exhibits the classic valve sound. Very musical, warm with quick transients. Making it a good all-rounder for all musical genre's. It is very heavy. Nearly 30kg mostly from the substantial transformers round the back. These help give it sufficient power to drive even difficult speaker loads, it will take a lot to get it to crack in your typical domestic sitting and always feels like it has ample power in reserve. Of course it has infamous valve trademark of a glorious open and musical midrange. I think it is because of this quality that makes it so musically tactile, it is just really good at bringing music to life. The only reason I am selling it is due to quite a substantial upgrade. Purchased used in St. Louis in 2006, employed in studio and touring for about 4 years then got tired of lugging this beast around. Sounds absolutely killer and it's wasting space just hanging around in storage(my house, not a garage) Current power tubes are all Tung Sol short bottle 6L6. I'd estimate less than 30 hours of use on them. Long and short of it. This amp is two independent 100 watt- all tube- amplifiers in one unit. It's capable of unholy levels of volume and could power two full stacks if you cared to. But the catch is, it weighs close to 90 pounds and shipping costs will reflect this. The wall voltages are much higher than they used to be and most old amp experts agree that they are much happier at 110 volts or lower in some cases. Most cities are 120+ now days and the old amps don't sound as good with additional voltage. I have used this in a home studio environment and have noticed a big improvement in the way my old amps sound when connected to this device and the voltage rolled back a bit. The reason for the sale is that i have sold my vintage amps recently due to financial reasons and no longer need this device. The green head cabinet, which originally came with a Prosonic head back around 1996, will hold the same size chassis as a 60's Bandmaster, or Showman amp. By now. You are probably wondering WTF? Here is the story. I had these separate pieces laying around, and thought that having a 6V6 POWER AMP would be useful for recording purposes. Specifically, with no pre-amp section to the amp, I would be able to use any separate guitar pre-amp and be able to obtain a variety of guitar tones, instead of ... morebeing tethered to any one tone, as is so often the case with old tube amps. So, I paid an amp tech(way too much) to get the power amp in working order, and mounted it in this sweet head cabinet. Once I got it back to my home studio, I tried it out with several different channel strips, guitar preamps, tube preamps, etc. While the amp does sound good, it is not as versatile as I had originally hoped. Specifically, it still sounds like a low watt 6V6 tube amp, no matter what pre-amp I use with it. Of course, different preamps and/ or mixer outputs so sound different, but still not versatile enough for my purpose. To be PERFECTLY CLEAR: this is a POWER AMP ONLY. It requires a preamp to function. Specifically. If you plug your guitar directly into the head, it will be barely audible. If you are looking for cool then look no further. This Thordarson 8 WATT tube mixer amp rocks! This thing looks to be all original right down to the Thordarson knobs. It uses two 6J7s or 1620s for the pre amp/driver section and a single 6L6G tube for the output, the rectifier is 80 or 5U4. It has inputs for microphone(that will work for a guitar) and a phono input(also good for guitar) It has a output selector speakers, and 500 ohm line so it can be used with speakers or as a microphone pre amp into a 500/600 ohm load. This is my favorite of the small Throdarson amps because of the two 6J7 pre amp tubes, these tubes give you a different sound and more gain when used as a guitar amp and into a 600 ohm load as a mic pre you also can get a different very cool sound. This Vintage Leslie amplifier was her Father's and she could not tell us very much about it. It has been tucked away in the estate for quite some time and we left it exactly as it was" did not even attempt to clean it" when discovered in the estate. We know that these are quite desirable and very well made, high quality amps, so decided to purchase it. We are far from experts on this type of thing, so we can't give you all that information about it. Please understand that it is being sold in untested condition. We have no way to test this, so it may work just fine, or could need some work, we honestly just don't know. It has a circuit that uses two 7868 push-pull per channel. Which is also suitable for 7591 or 7355 tubes I was told. It comes with mounting screws and some surface rust and blemishes. Black wires are for LINE, green and yellow are for 6.8v filaments and red for B+. Transformer model as labeled on end bell is"T-951-115A" and serial code"9263798" Selling AS-IS. Engl E-830/50 Stereo All Tube Rack Power Amp
Up for sell is this Engl E-830/50 power amp sold as is. No returns. It is a stereo power amp rated at 50 watts, multi ohm options. I upgraded the tubes to Mullard EL-84s for the power amp tubes and a JJ Gold Pin for V1 and JJ high gain tubes for V2 and V3. The amp does have signs of rack rash and normal wear; for a 10+ year old amp its not that bad. This is a great chance to own one of the older/vintage type Engl power amps that absolutely crush for metal tones! I ship all my stuff free of charge on the buyers end and exclusively through my local UPS store. The lady that does the packing/shipping knows how to treat delicate instruments so have no fear! I"sold" this on here a few weeks ago. And got stiffed by the buyer, so here it is again. Up for sale is a Rogue Audio Magnum Eighty Eight tube power amp. This is a very high quality product. Hand built in the USA. Output is 44wpc in Triode mode, and 60wpc in Ultralinear mode. This unit cost $2,500 new, sounds wonderful, and has been incredibly reliable. I hate to part with it, but I've decided to put a new system together with much bigger speakers and simply need more power. I've owned it for 8 years, and it's about as immaculate inside and out as something for its age can be. The tubes are a few years old, so I can't guarantee how much longer they'll last due to their age and shipping/handling. I will include the power cable. Manual, and an extra set of Sovtek KT88 tubes.

H.P. Power Transformer for tube amp. model 9100-0050
This is a nice potted type power transformer out of some H.P. piece of test equipment. I do not know what it originally powered. I tested it with a variac and volt meter and I get these voltages with no load: 812 volts. 7.1 volts and 7.1 volts. I would bet that with a load. The transformer is probably more like 780 volts with 6.3 volts for the tube filaments. Not 100% sure about the hook up on this one and I have no way of knowing the current rating but I would bet it would drive a little guitar amp like a Deluxe or other amp needing around 100 ma of plate current. It weighs around 6 lbs and is 3.75 x 3.25" x 4.25" in size and the mounting studs are 2.5" x 3" The transformer tests good. It is obviously a used transformer. Sold as is as described. Buyer pays shipping.
