For sale is this huge good tested 12.5 pound roughly 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 5" tall(excluding mounting studs and solder posts) inductor. Its marked as a transformer TMJ 217A with impedance 3300 CT to 500 CT ohms impedance. Probably originally a 100 watt output modulation transformer. You also can use it as a tube amp power supply choke. Good for up to hundreds of milliamps(assuming you have cap before and after choke, or its good for lower current without cap first) Good for replacing a 4. 8, or 15-16 henry choke. Terminals 1 2 and 3 measure almost 4. Almost 4, or 17 henry, so you could replace a 3 4 or 15-16 or 20 henry choke using these(1 and 3 would be the 17 henry) The DC resistances would be about 110 110, or 220 DC ohms for 17 henry. Terminals 4-6(4& 6) are 3 henry. Probably good for 500 ma as a choke. If you jumper terminals 1 and ... more6. Here is a nice tube amp project for conversion and building a guitar amp. This is a Bell and Howell projector amplifier with three 6V6 power tubes. A 5Y3 rectifier, and a 6SL7GT and a 6J7. This amp works as one would expect at the lower volumes but begins to feedback at higher volumes. I played it with single coil pickups. I am certain it will require some work but these amps really are nice projects for guitar amps. Shipping in the USA is $20.

Titan VARIABLE Tube Amp Bench Power Supply 500V 200mA
Modified for bench use on tube circuits. This is the Titan Variac based power supply. I have modified it for use on my bench to power tube amps experiments and real life amps. It is rated for 500V at 200mA. I used this as an additional supplement to my Heathkit IP-17 when I needed more current. More voltage or multiple voltages. So this unit should also work fine grounded via the NEG jack to the ground side of an additional supply. At least, it worked with my IP-17 AND my 30-0-30 variable bench supply. This power supply is unregulated. So after load comes up. Some fine adjustment is needed. It has a built in voltmeter(reads high) and a current meter with 200mA. 40mA and 20mA readings selected by push switches on the panel. Of course. You already have a meter to verify operating voltages and currents. Originally this unit had a timer for a ... morepower switch. I removed the timer. Replacing it with a toggle. The toggle has a cover that must be flipped up to engage the supply. And can be quickly shut down. It cannot be accidentally bumped on. The basic circuit is supplied as a picture. What you have is a Variac controlled transformer primary. Solid state rectification, and then a CLC filter. The"L" is a Hammond 2.5H 300mA suitable for all basic circuit testing. Sometimes I'd add a little 10H in an LC circuit to the output of this device for testing more sensitive electronics. It should be noted that the supply will generate MORE than 600V fully turned up. Internal caps are good to 600V. But meter on front panel only to 500V. I was going to put a bypass switch here. But never needed it. This unit is pretty heavy and will be carefully packed. It will not fit a Flat Rate box due to height for safe protection. 17lb. shipping weight. Shipping via ground or Priority services. Make sure you choose which one when paying.

1967 Gibson Duo Medalist power section converted for use with your favorite preamp. This is a point to point. Hand wired, class ab push/pull circuit with two 7591 power tubes and a 12ax7 phase inverter tube. Vintage iron and components sound great! 7591s are fantastic sounding tubes similar to el84s. This amp is a fully functioning chassis and puts out 30 watts of pure tube magic. Perfect for gigging! I decided not to hook up the indicator lamp or master volume pot for simplicity reasons. I just run her wide open and control the volume with the preamp. I've even run a SansAmp and Pod straight into this power amp with great results. Would also be a great project. Liquid mids and tube-like sweetness. This unit will be shipped double boxed with foam/small bubble around the amp which then goes in the inner box. Then that box is placed in a larger box with peanuts/large bubble. The amps construction is quite sturdy. I am not a box saver so the original box was discarded a long time ago with no intention to re-sell the unit. I only ship to the USA. I am an electrical engineer with decades of bench experience who built his first Dynaco 40 years ago. The amp is clean. Has been running for the last few days idling with even temperature on both heat sinks. DC offset and noise are in spec so there are no apparent issues. For sale is this good tested Thordarson T20C54 Tube Amp 8 Henry Hy 150+ ma power supply choke its 145 DC ohms. 8 henry, rated for 150 ma, in the 1947 Thordarson catalog. But the 150 ma was determined with a much smaller cap before choke than new amp builders would use. So with bigger cap before and after choke, its probably good for closer to 200 ma. Its about 3" tall. Great for a quad 6BQ5. Quad 6V6, or quad 6L6 amp.

Ampeg B-1 1 Space Rack Mount Bass Amp w/Tube Pre Amp and 150 watt Power Section
Ampeg B-1 Bass Amplifier This is a fairly rare Ampeg bass head that was made in the USA in the early'90's. Despite it's short production run. This amp has a very good reputation among players who have gotten to hear it. Ampeg was able to fit a tube preamp and a 150 watt solid state power section into a one space rack unit. The result is great tone in a small package that can emulate the Ampeg B15 or SVT. This amp is pretty loud for 150 watts- but being it is only one rack space. There is plenty of room to add an additional power amp if you need more power. Vintage 1967 Fender Woodward- Schumacher Power Transformer. I removed this after it was fully tested from a 1967 Fender Bassman. This would be the same as Bandmaster and some other Fender Amps. All wires where cut as close to the socket or connector as possible so there should be enough to drop it right into your amplifier without splicing. Super Nice Fisher 680-A All Tube Stereo Power Amp Amplifier
Up for sale is a super nice Fisher 680-A all tube Stereo Power Amp. The unit is very clean and is in excellent sonic and electrical condition. The amp carries S/N 1194x-x. This is one of the power amps used by Fisher in its various console systems. As was common. This amp chassis contains the power supply for the 7591A tube amplifier as well as the tuner/preamp chassis which was usually mounted horizontally under a hinged door on the top of the console. As such, there is capacity in the amp power supply to furnish high voltage B+ and 6V/12V filament voltages for all the tubes in the tuner/preamp unit. One stumbling block for some Fisher enthusiasts is that the four'front end' tubes in the tuner/preamp unit used DC voltage from the amplifier chassis that was derived from the cathodes of the 7591A output tubes. In other words, it was ... moreessential that the tuner/preamp be present for the power amp to operate. During its trip through the lab this unit was modified to work as a"stand alone" power amp by changing a couple of circuit elements. First. A power resistor was added to make up for the'missing' tubes and to balance the cathode voltage. Second, the power supply was serviced and an inrush current limiter was added to help prevent strain on the large power transformer. In addition, both voltage doubler capacitors were replaced with new, upsized units. The multi-section filter can was also replaced using a new CE model C-EC30x4-475. Old rectifiers were replaced with 1N4007 1A, 1000V units. Removed extra wiring that was used with phono changer and interconnecting with tuner/preamp unit. Cleaned chassis and checked all operation. The unit contains two Telefunken 12AX7 preamp/driver tubes; the output tubes are original USA 7591A with Fisher label. Adjusted the AC balance for both channels and set the amp bias control for'cool' operation. Unit idles at 0.95 amps from 120VAC source.
