Working Masco MA10EX Tube Amplifier with 2- 6V6 Power Tubes, Vintage 1950 Amp
This amp has huge transformers and I believe all the electronics are original. Some of the tubes may have been replaced. The tubes include:2- GE 6V6GT power tubes. 3- Sylvania 6SL7 preamp and phase inverter, 1- Ken Rad 6sc7 preamp and 1- Sylvania Jan(military) 5y3 rectifier. It has Aerovox, Pyramid and Mallory Caps.It has preamp in and out, radio and phono in and a AC aux outlet. The Capacitors look bad but there is very little hum. I patched my guitar to the RCA input and it works and sounds good although it is not as loud as it should be. It probably needs tubes and the pots cleaned. I am selling a Peavey Classic 120/120 in great shape. And an SKB 6 space rack case with a pull out handle and wheels. The Peavey 120/120 is around 60 lbs so I highly recommend the rack case with wheels. The Peavey Classic 120/120 is the big daddy of all of the Peavey all tube rack amps. Along with two massive sets of power and output transformers there are 8 6L6 tubes and 4 12AX7 preamp/inverter tubes. It can be run in stereo at 120 watts per side or mono at 120 or 240 watts. It can run as low as 2 ohms in mono or 4 ohms stereo so this thing can run 4 cabinets at the same time and still give tons of headroom. Just a monster amp that would fit in any guitar or bass rig and have enough power for anyone. This amp weighs in at 60 plus pounds due to it’s dual transformer design. It is like two separate amps in one.There are no known issues with this amp. I always used it on a variac at 110 volts with the tubes biased at about.5 mv. The only reason it is for sale is because I am thinning out my collection. It will be packed with the tubes removed and in the original box. As with all electronics. It is sold as is but guaranteed to work perfectly. These Dynakit amps are know for their very warm tube sound and outstanding quality. I purchased this with a matching preamp from the estate of the original owners. It's British and of old-style wax dipped construction. I guess this is perfect for a large radio or medium sized amp. It has 240v 230v 200v and 10v inputs. And the following outputs: 250v- 0- 250v@0.08A 6.3v@unknown. But looks like 3A(number rubbed off over the years) 3.15v- 0- 3.15v@3A Nice transformer for a home made radio or amp project or something like that. Due to the amount of questions I got about this and whether it works or not. I made a little testing set-up by connecting bulbs of approximately the correct voltage(and low enough ... morewattage) across the different terminals and plugging the transformer in using the 240v inputs(since I am in the UK) I am sorry its a very basic setup made out of random junk which I had laying around, but I hope it at least gives you an idea of the transformers condition. As you can see in the 2nd picture which I added, the transformer appears to work OK! There are two 6v bulbs(the nearest voltage I had laying around) connected between the two 3.15v outputs and 0, one single 12v bulb(since I ran out of 6v bulbs) connected to the 6.3v output, and two very low wattage 240v bulbs connected between the 250v outputs and 0. As you can see, all the bulbs are lit, so the transformer appears to work.

I found the choke was missing and the power transformer had shorted turns in the primary. I fixed those problems and replaced the output transformer with one that gives a match to a modern speaker. This now gives over 1.5 watts of real RMS audio with no visible distortion, with the 210 running at 350 volts on the plate and 29 volts of self-bias across a 2000 ohm cathode resistor. Sonically it exhibits the classic Conrad Johnson valve sound. Very musical, warm with quick transients. Making it a good all-rounder for all musical genre's. It is very heavy. Nearly 30kg mostly from the substantial transformers round the back. These help give it sufficient power to drive even difficult speaker loads, it will take a lot to get it to crack in your typical domestic sitting and always feels like it has ample power in reserve. Of course it has infamous valve trademark of a glorious open and musical midrange. I think it is because of this quality that makes it so musically tactile, it is just really good at bringing music to life. The only reason I am selling it is due to quite a substantial upgrade. Power Transformer Tube Amp A, B, Rectifier Filament Windings with Tube Socket
Old Tube Amplifier Power Transformer You're looking at a vintage power transformer pulled from a junked Zenith radio. Probably dating to the 1940s. This transformer has windings for tube heaters(A" Plate voltage"B" rectifier filament, and primary power input. The"B" winding is center tapped for use with a full-wave rectifier. It was used with a 5Y3 in the radio. The transformer looks solid with some dust and surface rust on the top of it. But this could be cleaned off and the whole thing repainted to look great again. It mounts onto the chassis so the whole thing is totally on the top side, no holes necessary except for the(4) holes for the bolts to hold it in place and another hole for the wires to go below deck. The wires were all disconnected under the chassis and marked, so you'll receive it with each ... morewire labeled as to which ones do what. The insulation on the wires is kind of brittle, so I'd recommend shortening then close to the entry point and soldering on new wire leads. Multimeter checks showed continuity for all windings, but I never energized this transformer. I expect it to work properly however. This transformer was originally used with a 5Y3 in the radio. And in fact I pulled the socket for this tube along with the transformer and will mail it with the transformer. The socket is of the wafer design, but is marked with tube types 5Y3 and 5Z4. It has only the proper holes to fit the 5 pin arrangement of the 5Y3(the extra three pins not supplied on the base of this tube are not drilled in the socket) The socket could fit the same 5Y3, or maybe use a 5V4 or a 5U4. Of course, you could use this transformer with other tubes like 80, 6X4, 6X5, EZ80, or whatever you might want to use. Heck, you could probably wire up two half-wave tubes like 35W4s or whatever. The radio this came from used(3) tubes plus the rectifier. I'm assuming that the 6.3-volt tubes were connected in parallel across the"A" supply from the transformer. The 5-volt rectifier filament sup

Here is a nice old choke from Triad- 6 Henry at 400 mA. That extra 100 mA is so nice to have over the usual 300 mA units. Safety margin! Nice condition. Tests fine. Lots of heavy metal here! Rare Randall Tube Amp-Hybrid Alpha Model-8417 power tubes
For your consideration is a vintage Randall Head. I have no Idea what model it is because the model isn't printed on the plate. Ive looked online and have not found much info on this hybrid tube amp. Other than it could be a RG150. It uses the super powerful 8417 tubes and a Preamp tube. It is working but I cant and dont know enough about amps to get it working 100 percent. The output section has been recaped partially and the amp sounds loud with good break up. The reverb and tremolo are not working and at lower volumes the amp has a fiz sound on the notes much like speaker rub, at high volumes doesnt seem as bad or maybe its cause its being masked by the break up/distortion. Please look at the pictures. The preamp section looks like it had a rodent in it, some wires are chewed, dirt and rust are evident. One of the pots, is broken and ... morethe knob is missing, the last picture has a missing component from the circuitry and I dont know if its a cap, resistor, or? The cab is missing the back cover, tears in the tolex, has its share of scrapes and scratches but is still in very good condition since one of the pots indicates it might be from 1972. Great. Classic amplifier from Alamo. Handmade in San Antonio, Texas. These were made from 65-72, have no idea what year this is. There is some minor separation of the grill cloth, looks like an easy fix if you feel it needs done. Pots are good, amp sounds killer. Pushes 30 watts through a 15, and like most Alamo amps they are far more toneful than loud. OD, boost, and fuzz pedals bring out the beast in this amp just fine. These are getting harder to find, and the tubes alone are worth 80-100 bucks on the market. Very good amp as a player or collector. For shipping purposes. I will pull the tubes, wrap them in bubble wrap, and place them in a small box or padded mailer to protect them. This amp works great, but I offer no guarantees. VINTAGE PAIR BALDWIN 3 CHANNEL 6BQ5 12AX7 TUBE POWER AMP AMPS 70 WATTS EACH
This is a seller ships world wide auction and all are welcome to bid. Note. These are BIG and heavy and as such, each needs to ship in its own box and really, a box with 2 would be twice as much in 1 box shipped as 2 boxes with a single amp in each and the difference is they would travel safer in 2 and, Shipping to some countries is prohibited due to cost and size regulations set by The USPS. These are 3 channel amps and I mostly sell these off eBay but. Here is a pair. The book lists these as 20 watts per the main. And 20 watts for the rotor or Leslie if you will and 30 watts for the bass pedal output as these are organ amps. The PP outputs are under chassis mounted and identical between all 4 transformers and are run full range and these transformers themselves have a fairly good bandwidth. The PPP output is circuit limited so. All you ... moreneed to do is modify the circuit and it too will run full range and the transformer has a w i d e bandwidth. The power transformers are identical in build. Parts under chassis are pretty close to each other as far as makers. Amps have 3 inputs via 1 multi pin plug and has 3 outputs with each speaker having its own multi pin socket. You will need to add input RCA jacks and. Speaker binding posts and a power switch and cord as these were hard wired to the organs power cord and switch but there is more than enough room for all. I took pics of these with NO TUBES and they come with just the 12AX7's you find in these and are Sylvania low noise build. Copper rodded 12AX7's so you get 3 for each amp for a total of 6. You can find 6BQ5's for these on eBay or on line and. The amps are self biasing so, you simply need to put them in and that is it and I find Russian outputs in these doing fine and sounded much like Amperex/Philips build so, they can be a good choice for a small budget. Dynaco ST-70 tube power amplifier professionally restored. I have used it sparingly in a second system. Comes with full set of tubes. No known issues or problems but sold As Is. Ship only to lower 48 states. Here is a copy of the ad from when I originally bought this amp. All information is from that original seller. Dynaco ST-70 stereo tube amplifier in excellent cosmetic and working condition. Clean. Rust free chassis with nice shiny plating, a couple of very minor oxidation spots. Excellent original lettering. Transformers are original cloth lead PA 060 and A 470 in excellent shape. Very good original cage. Restored with new, superior quality fiberglass reproduction PC 3 circuit board stuffed with superior quality parts. Larger value.22uf and.10uf Dayton film/foil polypropylene coupling caps, new matched carbon and carbon film resistors, ... moresilver mica small value caps. Original 4 section cap replaced with new, excellent quality Ruby and Xicon electrolytics with double the supply capacitance of the original can. Bias supply completely rebuilt with new matched resistors and larger value/rating caps. Unreliable selenium rectifier replaced with modern diode. Stereo/mono switch removed from circuit for purest signal. New 24K gold plated RCA input jacks and flush mounted bias jacks set in a new 1/8" thick solid aluminum panel. Rear panel has new heavy duty 24K gold plated 5 way speaker binding posts mounted to thick aluminum backing plates. New heavy duty power cord with HD plug. Was powered up and burned in very slowly on a variac for 48 hours to form all caps. Works and sounds excellent, holds steady bias. I found no problems. Nice wiring/assembly. No Reserve. This is a Dynaco MKIII Monoblock Tube Power Amp. First off. I borrowed tubes to test it out, and it worked great. Music is full and clean. The amp is to be sold without any of the tubes in photos. According to a sticker on the chassis, this appeared to be Van Alstine Mod. I also took a photo to show underneath the chassis. Obviously, it is modded. the power cord was spliced by the previous owner. Cosmetics are good. Chrome is bit dirty but shiny. Cage is very clean; and no damage or bent. Here is one nice looking HK A500. Been converted to pure power amp, circuitry have been upgraded and brought up to spec professionally, and autobias is applied for safe and reliable operations, easier on the circuitry too(plus it is hard to find a quad matched 7355 these days! All the old pots and switches in the front are all by passed for good(when they get old, it induce hums/distortions, and good luck finding replacements) Its not a looker due to the age(see the photos and judge yourself) But its quite a looker with the beautiful new cab and new aftermarket knobs.
