I am offering for sale a TFT 884 FM Modulation and Stereo Monitor. This unit is in very good condition. I recently tested the unit at a multi-station FM transmitter site and found it worked well during basic measurements on several stations. The station's engineer who allowed me access was able to see that his station was under modulating in regard to the other stations at the site. How could you really know for sure without the right measurement tool? He didn't know but is now confident his station is competitive with the others. This IS NOT a true VU meter. It is a 400uA full scale DC meter. It was tested using a variable power supply. If you apply an audio signal nothing will happen. QEI 691 broadcast audio FM Modulation Monitor and Test Set Qwerty
One of the all-time achievements of FM mod monitoring and analysis. This QEI 691 was retired from a professional broadcast environment in the Midwest US, where it was well-maintained. I believe it was in service until several years ago, and then held as a backup until approximately 18 months ago. All the switches and buttons appear intact. I do not know if every lamp functions but it appears most if not all do. It was factory calibrated at multiple times but could possibly use a check-over if you are going to put it into service. I do not believe there are any factory options as"extras" on this, like there were on some 691s. This chassis is in very good shape, better than other 691s we've seen in the past.
