The procedure tested the constant voltage and constant current functions along with the over-voltage circuit. HPIB functionality was NOT tested. A separate HP 973 DMM was connected to output to check the OC voltage: 6034A read out 973 DMM. 1.33 V 1.319 V. 5.22 5.2. 13.52 13.5. 32.5 32.42. 55.9 55.8. 60.0 59.9. A 10.122 Ohm 100W power resistor load was connected to the output. And the 6034A current read-out was noted: 6034A Voltage HP 973 Voltage 6034A Current. 1 V 0.987 V 0.1 Amp. 5.01 4.98 0.49. 10.13 10.09 1.0* 19.6 19.55 1.94 23.1 23.06 2.29* Above 1 Amp. One needs to rotate the knob counter-clockwise to increase the voltage/current versus the normal direction of clockwise. The exterior of the unit is a bit scuffed up. Originally the unit was listed as parts/non-functional; however. More recent examination of the unit(backward adjustment knob) showed that it does function.
