Here's a very lightly used Weber 12A150 speaker. It's rated at 50 watts. Has an 8 ohm impedance and a 12" diameter. This one has light dope on the surround to minimize cone cry while having a minimal impact on tone. This speaker spent a little time in a vintage tweed Deluxe, where it was never pushed hard or anywhere near it's maximum wattage. Nice clean solder tabs. No holes or issues with cone. up for bid is an eminence 50 watt 8 ohm speaker that was made for ruby tubes. i'd say this is most like their patriot lil buddy. i had this in an old gibson 15 watt tubeamp and then i put it in a 15 watt eagletone tube amp. it worked flawlessly. In both but for the eagletone i was lookin for a bit more breakup on the low end and this speaker is really clean. you have to really push it to get it to breakup. and it has a lot more bass response too.in fact i have an ampeg jet with a 12 inch speaker and this ruby tubes speaker had a better bass responce. so if you have a princeton reverb and are wishin you get a bit more bass and headroom out of it and thinkin of goin to a 12 inch i'd suggest you try this first. it will deliver.actually any amp that has an 8 ohm 10 that sounds a bit too thin or not enough headroom this speaker will save ... moreyou the trouble of cuttin a bigger hole only to find out that some 12's won't have the tone you're lookin for either. i replaced my eagletone with a jensen 25 watt and that gave me the early breakup i was lookin for. i also tried an eminence speaker that was made for the fender super champ( also 15 tube watts) and that had a bit less bass responce than this ruby tubes speaker did. but still more than the jensen. i have that speaker up in another auction. its a 25 watt speaker too at least. could be 35. i took a pic of the jensen the ruby and the fender speaker together to show the magnet sizes so you'd get an idea of the differences. without a doubt the ruby has the most massive magnet and the biggest voice coil. i'd say the fender and the jensen are pretty close but the fender when viewed from the side actually has a a much thicker magnet so its bigger than it looks. anyway i finally decided on the jensen for the earlier breakup.i'm not playin out anymore so pushin 15 watts thru a 50 watt speaker you have to get the volume up pretty much to get that tube tone we're all lookin for. so for livin room levels the jensen worked better for me. for

Up for sale today is this great sounding 12" speaker made in Chicago by the infamous Jensen Co. As you can see from the pics. There are no issues with this fresh cone! Also visible are the codes for the speaker that can tell you the date of manufacture, and the not so easily visibly readable is the code: 100 on the underside of the cone. Which leads me to believe that it's a recone, repaired by the folks at Weber VST! The speaker is 8 ohms. It's a ribbed 12" driver with a ceramic magnetand is in perfect working condition, with no flubs. Rubs, buzzes, or any other unwanted sounds; just that pure good old 50-60's Jensen sound!
