The boring holes from attacks of the clams are often seen in the agatized coral specimens. But it is unusual to find the fossil clam. It is extremely rare to find the fossil Lithophaga or boring clam preserved as well as this one. It is also rare to have the coral polyps so beautifully preserved. A remarkable fossil specimen! The clam is 1.5" long. The coral is 4" x 4" and weighs 1 lb. The well preserved free standing rod like structures were the coral polyps which are a golden brown. Vermeer D16X20a HDD Directional Boring Drill
This is a Vermeer D16X20A directional boring machine. It runs out great. All the hydraulics have good power. The tracks engage the machine forward and reverse and left and right. We cannot get all the controls to work, I am not sure it it is switches or if the problem is deeper. So buy the machine that way. The drill stem will not move up and down the the machine and it turns really slow, also we cannot get the clamps to work so again this machine will need some work or it will make a great parts machine. This is a Cincinnati Gilbert Floor type Horizontal Boring Mill with an Axillary table. The X Travel Is 9' Y travel of 6' and Z travel of 2' The table is 4' X 5' and moves 2' in the Z axis. It Tips 90 Deg. and rotates 360 Deg all under power. We replaced the lead screw and nut along with having It re scraped. We made stage 5 turbine rings for GE over a 12 year period and always held very tight tolerances. It comes with Angle plates, Parrels, Studs, Straps and hundreds of pounds of tooling. There Is an outboard support and boring bars. It is already disassembled and ready to ship saving you 6,000 in rigging fees. Mighty Mole Earth Boring Machine W/ Wisconsin Engine & For & Rev Transmission
This power unit had not been used for several years. I cleaned the carburetor and it started on the first pull of the recoil starter rope. I won’t promise it will do that every time but it is really in good condition and has good compression. The Wisconsin engine is an AENI 408778. I do not have the augers for it.
