54" Box Blade - 3 point, Category 1 - Very solid, Heavy Duty! / 3pt, Cat 1
4 1/2 ft wide(54 inches) Cat 1 3pt box/scraper blade Very heavy duty. Frame and main part are 1/2" steel. The box sides are 1/4" steel. Could use some paint(has surface rust) But otherwise in very solid shape. Has two cutting blades(one on front, one on back) and four slots to attach ripper teeth. The top of the rear is bent a little, there is a tow hook welded there that was probably used to pull out tree stumps or something. Doesn't affect the way it works at all. No ripper teeth on it(a.k.a. scarifiers/shanks) but they are about $15 here on eBay or you can get them from the local farm store. The shanks are the standard size most blades use, I think it's 1/2" x 2-1/2" Still. This is the cheapest one you'll find on either eBay or Craigslist. About half of what the others are going for. This is a nice used Heavy duty John Deere 8 foot wide blade. I has three adjustments. It can be angled to push left or right. Can be angled with ends up or down, and then can be off set from center of hitch to left or right. The cutting edge is in great shape as can be seen by the pictures. There are two welds. One on each of the side support bars leading to the three point hitch. Then there has been some extra iron added to the main pipe frame in the center. It was this way when I got it 15 years ago and has never given me a problem. I sand blasted and repainted it in 2008. I don't need this blade any more so I've decided to sell it. Here is a great old heavy duty Gannon Box blade. It weighs about 800 pounds and has a working width of 65" This is great with a tractor around 40 horse or better, however we used it for the driveway with our 8N as long as the scrifiers are up it works but this is better suited for a larger tractor. This is very heavy built and new ones sell for around $1500 today. One spring is missing to raise the scarifier. We use rope of chain and it works great. Look at the pictures for additional details. Can help load but will need a trailer most likely. Or possible a flat bed, This unit might fit in a full size truck be but I am not sure we have the ability to lift it high enough for that. Up for sale is my Woods RB 84 3 point back blade. This is a used unit and is in good condition. Its called a model RB 84 which i thought was supposed to be an 84 inch wide blade but in fact it only measures 83 inches wide( see picture) Blade is 13 1/2 inches high. This blade is reversible and can be used to either push or pull material. The blade can also be angled in multi positions to left or right and angled up or down or left to float. The blade itself is in good condition. The lower outer corners of the cutting edge are worn but could be welded back up or just replace the cutting edge. I personall have never used this blade, I purchased it for a project i had in mind but i find myself short on time any way too many projects already going on. This is for local pickup only.
