Up for auction is this vintage 1940 National Electrical Code. Standard of the National Board of Fire Underwriters for electric wiring and apparatus as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, November, 1940. The book is used and shows some wear, some corners are folded over. There is writing in pen on inside cover the writing is the name EARL C. MACE. On the back cover in pencil is the name EARLE MACE KHS. I beleive KHS stands for Kenwood High School in Baltimore MD. This is a 360 page book and is complete. MACE ELECTRIC is a union electrical contractor out of local#24 IBEW in Baltimore Md. The company has been around a long time and has since changed owners. 1947 National Electrical Code Nice little vintage pamphlet. 384 pages. Published in January 1947. Condition: It's not in the best shape. But it's old and hopefully that's understandable. The cover is torn in the top right and lower right corners. About the first 10 pages are torn in the lower right hand corner. There are a few marks and stains on the outside covers that you can see in the photos. Back cover is creased in the corner. If you can get past the damage done to the first approximately 10 pages. The rest of the pamphlet is in pretty good condition and is very readable. Pages turn well and do not stick. No writing or markings to the pages.
