For sale are 4 Machinist's Angle Blocks. I believe these have some age to them as I bought them at estate sale. They show some minor wear. Scratches, etc. Clamps look to have some grind marks on sides. Blocks Listed below. 1) Right Angle? Block with lots of threaded holes. All holes are threaded except large one in center. Name stamped into stop. Measures 3 1/8" tall by 2 1/8" deep at base by 3" wided. 2) larger of the V Angle Blocks. Same owner's name stamped on the sides. Measures 3 1/4" x 2" x 1 3/4" The clamp is screw is adjusted with a wrench. 3) and 4) Matching V Angle Blocks. Measure 2 1/16" x 2 x 1 7/8" The clamp screw is adjusted with an allen wrench. These 2 machinist V blocks were made by L.S. Starrett Co. They are both marked no. 278& 1/2- 20 NC. They measure approx. 1 1/4" square x 1 5/8" and each weighs 9 ounces. One has the number 1612 on it and the other has 0182 or 0132. Also one has the initials M D in marker along the groove. There are NO CLAMPS. The pieces were made in the USA. They appear to be the same size and dimensions. I do not have knowledge of tools- these were found in the basement of the home I purchased. Machinist Hardened V-Blocks And Hold Down Clamps (Not the Smaller Ones)
You are bidding on 2 Machinist Hardened V-Blocks And 2 Hold Down Clamps. They are a matching set in very good condition. They are 2 1/4" long. 2" wide to the outside of the lugs and 1 11/16" high with the largest V being 1 3/16" wide and the smaller v being11/16" wide. They also have 4 tapped holes on the top, 4 on the bottom and 4 on each end. they can work on a magnetic table or clamp directly on the lugs or don't use hold down clamps, you can use conventional clamps on top of item to be clamped. There is no rust. Only very little tarnished look in some spots due to age and non use. There is no company name on them, but they are high quality blocks. And this size is very hard to find! This auction is for a matched set of machinist-made precision V blocks with clamps. I purchased these blocks from the estate of a retired machinist. These heat-treated blocks measure about 2 1/2" long. 1 3/4" wide and 1 3/4" high. Really well made-just look at the pics! They have the maker's initials in one small spot on each block. Ask questions and check out the photos carefully as I don't offer refunds except when I make a huge error in the listing. Shipping is $5.15. You will need to specify if you wish insurance. Here is a pair of Machinist's Double Vee V-Blocks with clamps. The blocks measure 2-1/2" X 2-5/8" X 2-1/16" The clamps measure 2" on the inside and have a clearance of ~2-1/2" when fully open. Some oxidation discoloring but no pitting. There are no maker's marks on this set. These came from a machinist's chest that belonged to a man who worked in Lockheed Martin's Skunkworks on the U-2 project- get yourself a little piece of history!

You are bidding on lot of various work holding. Clamping, and inspection tools. First up we have 2 double sided V-Block blocks with hold down bars. They measure 2-1/8x1-7/8x1-3/4" and 1-3/4x1-7/8x1-13/16" the smaller of the 2 has a piece broken at one of the slots(please see pictures) other than that still operate as intended. There are 2 small"L" brackets that appeared to be used as a hold down as well, they measure 1-15/16x3/4x3/16" Lastly there are a total of 7 stepped hold down clamps 3 of them are from the Tietzmann Eng Co. No.2& No. 1X. 2 of which are 1-3/4x1-1/8x15/16" the single measures 1x3/4x15/16" There are also 2 sets(4 total) of Northwestern tool No.1s and they measure 1-1/16x3/4x15/16 Please note all clamps are 15/16" wide. I don't see a name on the 3rd small block except for a mechanics initials. One clamp appears to be home made. Excellent addition for any machinist, will last a lifetime. You are bidding on a pair of lightly used"V" Blocks and clamps. These came from a shop that just closed and they are in good condition. They each measure 1 ¼" wide. By 1 5/8" deep. And 1 ¼" tall. Please view my other listings for more machinists/toolmaker tools and instruments. Shipping fees are determined by winning bidder's zip. Insurance is now basically required by ebay. And the charge is included in the shipping quote. Ebay has now determined that it would be best if they not only take 9% of our selling price, but also take 9% of our shipping fees.
