Lot of 2 Vintage Ornate Alpaca Industria Argentina Tea Straws
This is a Lot of 2 Metal Tea Straws which are very ornate. The straws are marked"INDUSTRIA ALPACA ARGENTINA" As the pictures indicate one of the ends which hold the tea is hinged and the other is not hinged. The end which is not hinged is also missing a section of the threaded metal on one half however there is still enough thread to hold the end securely in the straw. Also the end of the straw which is placed in your mouth is stamped with additional markings which I cannot read. I have tried to take legible pictures of the straws so that they can possibly be read. I do not know what metals are used in the construction of the straws but one is silver toned and the other one is brass toned. Please review the pictures carefully. This is a Vintage Box of Mickey Mouse Sunshine Drinking Straws made by HERZ Manufacturing Co. New York City from the 1950's. The straws are made from waxed paper in assorted colors as seen. The box originally held 100 straws; as found it appears that there are 65 straws still present. Each straw is about 8 1/2" long with a small 1/8" diameter. One side has nice large image of Mickey with a bottle of soda with a straw in it. The other side Mickey. Donald, and Pluto holding signs suggesting beverages to use the straws with. The box is a little worn. Especially in the edges. A great Disney antique though!
