This Radio Fence pet containment system was recently working at a vacation property and removed as it was no longer needed. Included are: one RF-1001 Tra nsmitter and power supply. One RF-250 collar with t wo sets of probes and a new 2CR-1/3N lithium battery. 500 feet of new RFA-1 boundary wire. The collar and it's receiver box show the wear of riding along on my spaniel through the woods for a few years. With the exception of the antenna. This radio appears to be complete. The antenna mount is there, but it's been broken off about 1/2" above the swivel joint. It appears that this jewel spent much of it's life in a shop or garage. It's kind of dirty, but I don't see any cracks or chips in the plastic, and the switches and knobs appear original. It plays loudly on FM, but not much if any reception on AM or SW. The controls make noise when switching bands and etc. so maybe the controls all need cleaned? Lights work, and the cord and earphone are present. Will look really nice on someone's shelf when it's cleaned and repaired. I try to represent my items as accurately as possible. SquareTrade © AP6.0 If you have been looking for a nice Panasonic RF-2200 radio. This one is very nice and it represents the less common military appearance made in a minority of these radios. Standard appearance has a black front panel. In the past, I spent a great deal of time reconditioning these radios cosmetically and also had a local technician repair and help with alignment of the radio. Due to the time to clean and recondition the RF-2200, it is hard to set aside the time necessary to restore these as they should be cared for. My wife worked on this particular cosmetic restoration and I think you will agree that she did a nice job with the cosmetics. Cosmetically. The radio is in above average condition and is an excellent example of this 70's analog radio. There is some minor wear or a couple of spots if you look closely, ... morebut for a radio that is approaching 40 years old, it is looks very nice. Electronically. The RF-2200 operates just beautifully. This 8 band portable Panasonic RF-2200 receiver circa 1978 has long been considered a DX machine on medium wave, but also is a respectable unit on shortwave and FM as well. It is very common for these radios to have intermittent contacts on the band switches resulting in either poor or no reception on the AM and shortwave bands. The contacts on this radio were cleaned and allow the radio to operate perfectly. I would estimate that about 95% of these radios suffer from bad contact issues and if you find the RF-2200 for sale on Ebay. It is almost guaranteed to need some service attention. The AM ferrite bar antenna locks into position and rotates as it should and the radio operates with excellent sensitivity on all the bands and the whip antenna is original. Extends perfectly, and shows only very light signs of bending. Included in this sale is the Panasonic RF-2200 radio.
