Item does not include power supply, delay modules, covers, etc. There are some labels on the front panel, hand written by Stephen St. Croix, from the period when he was doing experiments and developing these units. We are listing several of these units on ebay; here's the story on these items. After Stephen St. Croix. Genius developer of the Marshall Time Modulator(and many other products) passed away in 2006, Studio Electronics made arrangements with his estate to sell their remaining inventory of NOS units, and service Marshall Electronic products. As part of our deal with the estate, we wound up with about 10 of these early prototype Time Modulators. These prototypes are missing large numbers of parts and there is no way to complete them. ... moreAnd turn them into working Time Modulators. We know these models inside out and If there was a way. We'd have done so ourselves. The proprietary delay modules are missing, and parts for those modules are no longer in production. The custom dbx cards and power supplies are missing. The motherboards are an early revision that would be very difficult to update. Many other parts are missing. Several of these early prototypes went to Stevie Wonder, and down the line were replaced with later revision units. One of more of these Prototypes were probably early Stevie Wonder units. These units may be useful as a spare parts source. If you have a Time Modulator or Tape Eliminator. The chassis and front panel may be useful for a DIY project. Or if you add a few parts and knobs, one might be a novel"rack filler" But please don't buy this with the hope that you can turn it into a real Time Modulator. 8-pin loctal breadboard / prototype tube socket for DIY experimenting NOT OCTAL
This little goody is a breadboarding or prototyping socket for 8-pin loctal tubes. Like the 7N7, C3g/ C3m, etc. That's LOCTAL, not OCTAL- I also have Octal sockets listed, so be careful you pick the right one! It allows you to make solderless connections to the tube, using screw/ compression terminal blocks. Just stick the wire(s) in and tighten the screw. To change the circuit, just loosen the screw and pull out the wire(s) I use these for experimenting with tubes. And prototyping tube circuits. They can be screwed to an old-fashioned wooden breadboard or a metal chassis, using the four holes with pressed-in standoffs at the corners. The ceramic Loctal socket is from China- decent quality.
