David Bradley tractor planter seed hopper NOS
Just found this NOS seed hopper with base in a crate in a barn. It was still wired inside the crate. The hopper itself has surface rust on the outside and very little rust inside. No holes anywhere. Gears all turn freely by hand. Includes a separate piece that bolts to the hopper bottom as shown in one of the pictures. Looks like it is set up for cotton seed to me. Antique Check Row Planter Wire Coil Old Vintage Agriculture Farming Horse Drawn
This is a fantastic piece of agricultural history! It is a roll of check row planter wire from the horse drawn and early tractor farming era used with a method called"check-row planting. Farmers would stretch a wire like this one across a field. The wire has knots every 40-42 inches. The planter would drop three or four seeds every time it hit a knot in the wire. This created a checkerboard field pattern which they would later cultivate in one direction and then again 90 degrees the other direction. This wire is rusty and corroded/pitted in places. Some of the knots are heavily caked with dirt. The wire is in a coil and we did not uncoil the wire to measure how long it is. Buyer pays postage on a 20 lb package. The seat would be roughly 21 inches off the surface when mounted. It has the mounting arm and base as pictured. The bolt on the base is rusted and you'll need to cut that bolt off. The seat was found in an old barn. Lots of cool surface rust as pictured but the seat is still solid. Use it for display or clean her up and put her back on the IMPERIAL she came off of. Here is an antique John Deere 2 row corn planter. Great as a large/centerpiece for vintage yard decoration. Very rare item. Horse drawn. Pull type. All iron wheels. It is missing one of the seed container and lid. Wood part of draw bar is rotted. Other than that it is probally fairly complete. It has 30 diameter wheels that are 5 1/2 inches wide. Overall it is about 6 feet wide and 6 feet long. It has aging and wear from exposure to the weather. See photos for condition. Local Pickup only. No shipping. Vintage Deere & Mansur Horse Drawn Corn Planter Frame
You are bidding on a vintage Deere and Mansur horse drawn corn planter main frame. It has been sitting outside for many years. But is in solid condition. The front of the planter that had the seed bins and planter shoes has been removed. What's left includes the wheels, seat, pedals, center lever and spring, and wheel scrapers. I put a steel leg on the front to hold the planter level. This unit is now relatively light and very easy to roll around. It would look great with flower pots sitting all over it or I think it looks great as is. This item will need to be picked up in Hillsboro Missouri. You are bidding on the marker arm assembly off of a vintage John Deere Model 999 corn planter. This assembly includes both upright arms. The cross bar that mounts to the frame, the lifting handles, and all mounting hardware. One upright is not original. It appears to be a piece of galvanized pipe. It is functional and if you did a little work to it could almost pass as original. It does have a cable clamp near the top where a piece of original hardware is missing. Just fresh out of the barn. Been stored most of its life and in very good solid condition. One row Cole Mfg Co. made in Charlotte North Carolina. All original with wood handles still having the faint painting of Cole Co. on them. The hoppers are very solid with lids working fine and one hopper has a planting plate in it and comes with three on the ground in front picture. All the metal has light surface rust from moisture in the barn but thats all is surface rust. I have not planted anything with it but when push the planter forward, all the wheels inside both hoppers turn freely so it probably works! Measures 66 inches from end to end. 2 Rare Antique Corn Planter Check Wire Stakes May Be John Deere Y117M
These are 2 old antique Corn planter check wire stakes. I tried to get pictures of the markings. One of the markings looks like the JD from John Deere but I truly can't be sure. The other marking looks like Y117M. They are 35 inches long and in total weigh aout 8- 9 pounds. I don't know much about these so if you have any information. I would appreciate it.
