This is a high quality poster that I have made from an image of a circa 1890's lithograph on tin advertising sign for the"Success" manure spreader from the Kemp& Burpee Mfg. Co. of Syracuse. NY. The sign has an image of a man operating a manure spreader pulled by a team of two horses. At the upper left is their trade mark'Lion's Head" which is also repeated around the outer edges of the sign. The poster is printed on 11 3/4 x 16 1/2(297 x 420 MM) heavy weight matte paper that is suitable for framing. In 1875. J. S. Kemp invented, patented and began manufuacture of manure spreaders in Magog, Quebec, Canada. Kemp also developed four different companies to manufacture manure spreaders based on his designs. W. N. Burpee became associated with Kemp and in 1880 they started the Kemp& Burpee Mfg. Co. in Syracuse, ... moreNY. Here is a Badger liquid manure tank with a vacuum pump. It also comes with the 4" suck hose. It is a 1500 gallon tank that is in good shape and ready for the field.
