I don't see any lunkenheimer marks but it looks exactly like a bunch of the other ones I have. Looks to be in working order but is untested. The base is just shy of 2 3/4 inches square. Old Oneida Iron Works NY Steam Engine Horse Drawn with Giant rivets
Hello. Nice old steam engine. I have never seen it run. This would be good for someone with knowledge of how these work. I have no idea how to use this. But it is just so cool to look at. Nice to display as is or good to restore. Sat in a dry building for years and looks to of been well cared for. I have an extra rear door to replace the one on the back that is worn from use. The paint has a nice original looking patina. It still has a leather belt and whistle etc. Glass on gauge is missing. Fly wheel tuns and piston goes in and out and moves belt etc. This steam engine was used for its intended purpose back in the day. The chimney folds down and there is a seat for the driver of the horses. I'm sure these where expensive and not every one had one. I was told it was pulled from town to town to run items like a sawmill or thrasher. Its ... morecondition does show signs of use,age and wear.
