1956 John Deere 60 w/ factory power steering
Tractor starts and runs perfect. Has some noise in 3rd and 5th gear. All other gears quiet. I've been told that this was normal. It's only 58 years old. Tin is in very good condition. Back tires are in decent shape. I have 2 new tires and tubes for the front. When cold has trouble going from high to low side. New battery and just had a tune up. I had this tractor listed about a month ago on craigslist but removed it when I noticed a small exhaust manifold gasket leak. I decided to fix it. What I though was going to be a $50 fix. Turned into an approx. $500 investment to have the head complete re-conditioned. The work included: Resurfaced-planed Head Gasket Surface, Resurfaced-planed Intake& Exhaust Manifold surfaces. I don't think these surfaces had ever been touched. They were horrible! Intake& exhaust valve seats ground, Intake& exhaust valves ground, Genuine John Deere Gasket Set from the bottom of the Head up. I also had the Cylinder Water Inlet Housing resurfaced-planed. I don't think this housing casting surface ... morehad ever been touched) This is a 1953. 2 Cylinder Gas, John Deere 60 Tractor. S/N 23520. Tractor has: Approx. 37 Max. Drawbar Horsepower, Behlen Power Steering Unit, Schwartz Wide Front, Block Heater( Currently Removed) Working PTO, Working Power-Trol Unit, Koyker Big K front end loader with double acting hydraulic cylinders with separate hydraulic pump attached to the PTO( Also comes with a bucket attachment for larger bucket loads) Also included with the Tractor: Original 104 page John Deere Tractor Model 60 Series Operator's Manual( Manual No. OM-R2016R with August 1952 Print Date) Original"Dealer's" Service Manual for Model 60 Series Tractor Manual( Manual SM-2008 with June 1952 Print Date) Panels. Grills and paint look to be all original and is"not" rusted out. Tractor starts, idles and runs beautifully& has good/ high oil pressure. All three gages work. Transmission shifts through all it gears just fine and sounds clean& smooth. All tires& tubes were new in mid to late 2000's and probably have nearly 100% tread on them. I didn"t use this tractor much. I just put two new 6 Volt batteries in her, change the engine oil& oil

FARMALL 1950 M WITH LOADER CHAR LYNN POWER STEERING NEW CLUTCH STARTER ALTERNATO
1950 FARMALL M IN ITS WORKING CLOTHES. RUNS GREAT. STARTS ALL YEAR LONG. SERIAL# FBK 229590 X 1. New parts include: clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing. Starter, alternator, Char Lynn power steering torque generator, also rebuilt front end including bolster, seals and bearings. This tractor has been a project tractor. I've also added a Schwartz loader with a 7ft. bucket. I put on 16.9/38 tires with 8 bolt hubs. It has a 12 volt system for easy starting year round. 2 way hydraulic valve for easy use of the loader. I have spare tires. The front tires are 16in. and are about 50% Rear tires are 16.9/38 and are about 75% The tires that are currently on the tractor are very worn. I currently put on a brand new Char Lynn power steering torque generator. The old one I had rebuilt and it is part of the sale as well. I have a spare belly ... morepump for the hydraulics(Picture# 8) I also have the original rear tires that came on the tractor. The left one was a 13.6/38 with 6 bolt hub. The hub part is busted out in the center. It was like that when I got it. I do not how it was broken out? I never seen anything like it! Picture#9) The right rear was a 14.9/38 with 6 bolt hub. And hub is good shape. Picture#10) It also comes with rear tire chains(picture#12) I have the original 5 ft. bucket(Picture# 11) I rebuild the front end will I got. All new parts. It drive with ease now. Before the front wheels were all over the road. Not good with loader on. Gas tank was coated on inside. No rust in fuel line or sediment bowl. Also new sediment bowl& fuel line and gas cap. With this auction. A Farmall M with a lot of new parts! a lot of spare parts too! To finish this tractor would be a paint job.
