1974 John Deere JDX8 repair,restore, parts
This is a 1974 jdx8 john deere i picked this up at an auction 3yrs ago I was told it ran and drove by the gentelman who sold it could not run it at that time because the throttle cable was broke. When I got it home we put a lil gas down the plug holes and it did fire and run breifly and thats the last thing I did with it. The sled is in reasonable condtion to make it worth fixing up track is ok skis etc dont know alot since I never really tested anything. Needs a seat cover and windsheild and I have a used throttle cable to provide with sale. It does have the add on backrest in decent shape material is surely on the dry side but its not all ripped up no shipping on this payment do in 7 days pick up in 30 days it is in Mt Cobb Pa just minutes off interstate 84

A John Deere Tractor Trailer Tilt Bed B D G H L LA M MT
Please Note: A very helpful John Deere collector emailed me four scans of his original July 1947 piece of John Deere sales literature for this No. 16 trailer. I have added the two most interesting of the four scans to the end of the photos on this auction. I have also added all four of the scans to my photo site listed below. I have added these scans because I suspect relatively few JD collectors have ever seen one of these very intereseting trailers. Please be sure to check out all 29 of the photos there of this trailer and the four scans of the original Deere literature. Please be sure to check out the other interesting collectible vehicles and items I am currently offering here on eBay. I believe this is a John Deere No.16 tilt bed trailer that was introduced by Deere around 1940 as a heavier duty replacement for the No. 15 trailer that ... moreDeere introduced in 1935 or 1936. This trailer has a single un-sprung axle with dual wheels and four 6.50-16 tires. The tilting deck is just under 96" wide to be legal about 60 years ago and the deck is 13 feet long. The A-frame front hitch extends about 3-1/2 feet forward from the front of the deck. That would make the overall length of this trailer about 16-1/2 feet. The deck is a bit over 2 feet above the ground. Each pair of wheels is covered by a stamped steel plate. These plates clear are there to prvide tire clearance and effectively lower the height of the deck by about 3 inches or so. This trailer has mechanical brakes in each wheel that are actuated by cables that were originally tied to a surge brake type of sliding mechanism that was in the hitch. The inner sliding piece is missing as is the linkage or cable that hooked it to the equalizer mechanisms that are still in place under the wood deck. The original housing that the sliding brake part slid in is still in the front of the hitch. Someone converted the original hitch to a double strap type. This was most likely done at some time to use this trailer behind a tractor rather than a vehicle. The entire A-frame

1958 John Deere 630 2-cylinder tractor
This is a 1958 John Deere 630 gas row crop tractor serial# 6302482. The tractor has been sitting where i took these pictures since 2001. And it was driven in and parked, it hasn't been started since. It belonged to my brother in laws father who bought it new and used it on the farm untill he retired. He planned on restoring it but got ill and wasn't able to do the project, thats why the sheet metal has been removed. Now my sister has decided to let it go. It is a complete tractor. Sheet metal not rusted or beat up, new grill screen, and new front tires.Probably needs a tune up Its is not locked up or stuck this is the first year for the 630 this will be a great project for a restoration or put back together and a tune up and use it more pictures avaliable upon request questions call Jay at 309-261-3408

1957 John Deere 420W With Factory Reverser, 3 Point Hitch & 5 Speed
1957 John Deere 420W S erial number 101.843 with factory reverser. Tractor st arts ri ght up. Runs. Drives and stops good. Reverser works great! It has the optional 5 speed transmission. PTO& 3 point both work well also. The 3 point is missing the top link. Now for the bad. The axles have been cut back, the front tie rod steering arm has been wel ded( easily replaced) and the rear rims are not perfect. Other then those thing s I could not find anything else wrong with the tractor. Overall its a great little tractor th at runs excellent. There were only 3.961 420W's built in 1957, Very few ever left with a re verser. Most reversers that left the factory were on crawlers not wheel tractors. I have owned this John Deere Scraper for about 20 years or more. It is pretty clear I am not going to get around to doing something with it so it's time to let it go. The machine seems to be all there and complete. It does start. Run and everything seemed to operate on it. The engine sounds good and starts easy. This is original electric start with the original 24Volt system. The machine has had use and does have wear in the usual places. Overall I think it is in pretty good shape. This is a machine for the serious John Deere collector. I think there were only about 800 and some made so there is probably very few left-especially complete and running. 1970 John Deere 4020 Side Counsel
John Deere 4020 side counsel diesel. It is a 1970 model serial number: T213r 228742R. The tractor starts up and runs good. Ive used it around the farm the last couple months and it has good power and drives great. The only major problem I can find is the shifting linkages need some work. It is a synchro trans. All of the gears shift fine and work as they should except for park. 4th and 7th. Sometimes 4th and 7th will work but they usually don't. When they do work they don't make any unsuspecting sounds or anything they just eventually kick out or grind like they're not fully engaged. I've narrowed it down to linkages I think since park is nothing more then putting the bottom shaft into low and high range at the same time which locks the output shaft. I'm not positive since I haven't tore into it but its the only logical ... moresolution I can think of since the gears obviously aren't stripped and the synchronizers wouldn't come into play with this. So I would say that it's going to need some linkage attention which is common on a synchro with wear or a shift collar could be worn as well. Other then that so inside it starts easy, runs out good, it steers as it should and the clutch works good. It has dual hydraulics and a three point. The tin work is in fairly good condition. The good has been switched out somewhere along the line from another tractor. But it could easily be fixed with some body work. I'm not to sure what the fenders are off of but they are in decent shape as well. All of the side counsel is there and intact. I did notice that above the hydraulic pump inside the side screens between the radiator and fuel tank the steel cover had been trimmed somewhere along the line so they could work on the hydraulic pump. I would think you could fix it or just get one from a salvage yard as it isn't side counsel only part so one off any 4020 will work. But the tractor still operates fine as is without it. I welcome information& input, be nice" I think its a late model B, because of the 6-speed transmission. Serial number is 280335; someone out there, tell me the year. Overall nice condition. Rol-a-matic front end. Drawbar looks like it was never used. Fellow put a battery in it& started it. But it didn't run too well, stale gas. Tractor hasn't run since his dad passed on, 6 years ago. Rear tires are in nice condition, 75% but mismatched. I would have a nice set of Firestones to go on this unit, if new owner would want them. Let them go at a fair price. Everything else is 100% original and everything works 100% including all gauges and lights. It was painted at one time. I t does not have differential on it. It does have the 2 sets of rear wheel wts. and the front wt. set all as shown in the pictures and that all goes with it along with what appears to be the original top link. Has one set of Hydraulic remotes on back. Always been a local tractor and in fact it’s had two owners who were mechanics so always been well taken care of. Engine has never been touched and no major work has ever been done on it as per both owners. The owner now know the previous owners and two were mechanics as I said. No leaks. JOHN DEERE MODEL D OPERATORS INSTRUCTINS AND PARTS LIST ORIGINAL UNSTYLED 1936
Up for auction is an original operators manual for the Unstyled John Deere D antique tractor. The part number on the front cover is DIR.126-12-36 This is the instruction manual and parts list that came with the tractors back in the day. As a matter of fact on the front cover it says"This Instruction Book and Parts list applies to the tractor with which it was sent" The front cover is probably the worst page as far as condition goes on the whole manual. As you can see in the pictures it has some taped up areas. Spotting, a few tears and the one upper corner is missing. The back cover has one small piece missing and a tear. The inside pages are in real nice shape for a manual that is 77 years old. A few of the pages have some smudges probably from the owner thumbing through the book while he was working on his tractor. The front cover ... morealso has writing on the top which is a name and city, state. Looks like it says Frank Maxian or Mafian, Binghamton, NY. The rest is missing. Maybe you know him or his family. Maybe he was the original owner of the tractor this came with. Anyway the all the pages have that tan color to them like the old manuals had. It's not bright white like the newer or reproduction ones, this is the real McCoy. I used this many times for reference when I worked on my unstyled D but I sold that a couple years ago and no longer need the manual. It's a nice piece of history and would look great next to that D in your garage or barn or while showing the tractor. But like I said I used it for what it was intended for. It's a wealth of information if you're unfamiliar with your D and like to work on it yourself. It is written real clearly, it's very thorough and makes it easy to figure out any problems you might be having. This is a used mannual so no warranties or returns. 1948 John Deere Late Style Model "A" Tractor
Up for sale is a 1948 John Deere Model A tractor. It starts right.Up runs well with no smoke, and drives with no problems or unusual drivetrain noises. The engine was rebuilt with a different crack free block, new pistons, wrist pins, new bearings, and gaskets. The head was redone and valves ground. I'm guessing less than 50 hours on the rebuild.The generator was replaced with a GM alternator and works well. This later A has a distributor in top shape. It has a rock shaft and in addition to the factory outlets has another pair of late pioneer outlets. The sheet metal and front grills have dings and dents but were straightened as best as possible and repainted. Not perfect but very good. All the gauges work as well as all the lights including the work light and red light combination at the back. The tractor must have some sort of high ... morespeed rear as we can go over 20 mph with it. No problem on those tractor drives. It all looks factory so I'm not sure why. Both brakes work well and have even height. The rear tires are Firestone 12 x 38 at 50% but with heavy weather checking. The right rear has a boot as shown along with cuts and bruises. The rims look good at the valve stems but the left rear has some splitting as shown. The fronts are mismatched with the RF a 6.50 x 16 Firestone and the LF a 6.00 x 16 of unknown brand. Both are worn and weather checked. The tractor was used for light work with the tires this way with no issues so far. I see only one leak that reaches the floor under the pulley brake but its not a major issue. The seat cushions have been redone but not a professional job. Take a look at the pictures. The pto casting for the cover has a broken ear. Width is right at 82 inches for your trailer. I'm starting the bidding low with no reserve. It will sell here on E-Bay so bid with confidence. John Deere two-cylinder 420H tractor. Serial#103635, ca. mid-1950's(probably 1957, but I'm not certain of the date)I bought this tractor in 1988 at a JD collector's auction to use as a working tractor in my tree nursery growing fields. I used it each year for cultivating and undercutting tree seedlings up until about 3 years ago, and it has always been shedded since I've owned it. For the last few years I've only run it once each spring and fall, to drive it about 2 miles to and from a rented winter storage building. Since I'm no longer growing trees from seedlings, I have no more use for it. The previous owner had crudely repainted it with a brush, and before painting he had crudely pounded out some of the sheet metal dents. The seat cushions are shot/gone, and although the brakes still stop the tractor they are really ... moreshot as well. As shown in the 5th picture, the clutch housing is cracked where it meets the engine, and the bolt hole there is broken out too(but the bolt still holds soundly, it was that way when I bought the tractor and I've never had to touch it) On each side there are custom made mounts(which will stay on the tractor) for a mid-mount cultivator. There are some fluid leaks, but none have been serious since I had a bad hydraulic leak fixed several years ago. I converted the tractor to 12 volt shortly after buying it, but I still have the 6 volt generator which will go to the new owner. It has a retro-fitted home-made 3 pt. hitch, which is cobbled together but worked fine for what I needed. I also added a home-made roll bar years ago. There is no PTO installed. The steering wheel might or might not be original, but it was completely taped with black electrical tape when I bought the tractor, and it's still there today. I have no idea of how accurate or inaccurate the hours shown on the meter might be, and I don't know what the hours were when I bought it, nor do I even know if it has ever worked since I've owned it(I changed the oil spring and fall regardle

Rare John Deere AOS that was made in 1937 the first year these tractors were made. The tractor was fully restored in 2005 with great attention to detail with all John Deere parts. The head was worked over and new piston rings were installed. There is some paint that is cracked off on the engine block and a small spot of red paint on the nose cone from someone dropping a paint brush on it. There are also a few small places on the front axle were the paint has come off. The rear tires have good tread but are weather cracked and the fronts are in real nice shape. When we washed the tractor we did not clean the inside of the tire and rims. We ran ... moreout of shop towels, however it is just grease that will come right off and is not stained the paint. These are very hard to find tractors. Especially in the condition that this one is in. The engine is running very strong and is not smoking. This trailer has a single un-sprung axle with dual wheels and four 6.50-16 tires. The tilting deck is just under 96" wide to be legal about 60 years ago and the deck is 13 feet long. The A-frame front hitch extends about 3-1/2 feet forward from the front of the deck. That would make the overall length of this trailer about 16-1/2 feet. John Deere 3010 Diesel tractor, for parts or restoration, does run and drive
1961 John Deere 3010 Diesel row crop tractor for sale on no reserve auction. Last bidder will be the new owner. Serial number is 11T5617. I bought it out of Florida. It was interesting to me because it came with no fenders and two-cylinder style seat from the factory. My desire was to get the 2010, 3010 and 4010 diesel row crop tractors for a New Generation collection. It was not running when I got it. The engine was stuck from sitting as was the clutch. I was able to get the engine freed up without removing the head by pulling the valve cover and intake manifold and putting WD40 in the cylinders by opening valves. A large screw driver to pry on the ring gear got it turning. It did have antifreeze when I got it but it was not very cold and so I drained it out last winter before storing it. This summer I split the tractor to get the clutch ... moreunstuck. It had a lot of rust and both traction and PTO clutch disks have delaminated somewhat from rust between the steel disk and clutch fiber which makes the clutch jerky. The PTO seems ok, it starts and stops. With the clutch freed up we got the engine to run by pull starting. The compression is low and it runs on 3 cylinders. I believe#4 intake valve isn't seating well at all. I don't believe it to have any crankshaft problems as it sounds ok when running. I did hook up 2 batteries to test the 24 volt starter and will crank the engine but it won't start that way. The injection pump has an issue as it sometimes runs fine and sometimes it will speed up without moving the throttle and you have to pull the stop and shut the engine down. I filled it with water to run the engine and didn't see leaks from radiator or water pump. The transmission is good in every gear and the shifter works well. It will shift smoothly between low. High and reverse in each station with good synchronization. You can be rolling and it hits every gear without grinding and needing to hunt for it. John Deere 530 LP tractor, propane fueled, only about 400 built, how many left?
For sale is a not too common John Deere 530 LP. It is serial number 6971 and was shipped in mid September 1959 to Mission. Texas according to the production register. There are dealer stickers on the hood from Weaks Martin Implement Company, Mission, Texas. A google search found they are still in business. The tractor is equipped with the following optional equipment: power steering. Roll-o-Matic, tachometer(inop) float ride seat, rockshaft with three point hitch(no toplink) single hydraulic remote, PTO and is sitting on 12.4x38 rear tires. I rebuilt the LP converter as it was not allowing any fuel flow when I got the tractor and replaced the vapor withdrawal valve because the original had stripped threads on the stem and would not open/close. Its up and running now and the old tractor is doing everything it is supposed to do. Some of the ... moremachines you see out of the deep south have been pretty well beat. But this one is not like that. The engine sounds good and strong when you get a little load on it but at idle the mixture is a bit rich to be just as smooth as it should be. These LP engines can really be tuned to run well, this is my first one to work on and I've not had the carb apart to see if it may have a blocked passage or an air leak somewhere. It has good throttle response from low to high idle so I think I'm close but just not dialed in spot on. I changed the engine oil and it carries oil pressure just under the H on the gauge when running. The power steering is working pretty good on this 530. I'd say its a little better to the right than to the left. But it doesn't drift to the right either. The hydraulic pump sounds good, doesn't buzz or whine, and the rockshaft lifts smoothly. I've not tried the hydraulic remote. The PTO is good too. It doesn't have any unusual noise and it stops when the pedal is disengaged. ONE OF A KIND! This is a custom made tractor. It has been displayed at multiple tractor shows around the Midwest area. And it is truly a one of a kind tractor. It is 100% fully functional and has a brand new paint job. It is a great Parade Tractor! This tractor was made from a 1967 John Deere 110. It is 2/3 scale to the 620 model. John Deere Yakima 3 point Hitch-2 Cylinder tractors-A,B,G
Here is a John Deere Yakima 3 point hitch that will mount on a few 2 cylinder tractors. Fits A.B or G series I am told. Hitch looks complete and has no breaks or welds. apologize for the shadows in photos) The tag says its a model 2100. I had never seen one of these hitch's before. Feel free to ask questions. John Deere 1948 Model B Tractor super nice restoration runs great!
This is a very nice John Deere Model B built in 1948. It was tenderly cared for by the same family for many years. It saw some use in the hay field and some parade use the last few years. Paint is excellent and it is mechanically solid. Comes with original factory manual. It is just a very nice tractor and will run for many decades to come. Local pickup only near Battle Creek Michigan. Serial number is 223128.
