You are looking at a Vintage Survivor 1941 John Deere Model A Farm Tractor. This barn find has had what we believe to be two owners and has been extremely well taken care of. Please click This was a local farm tractor consigned to us from an elderly 85+ year old farmer who is very fussy with all his vehicles and tractors. While it has not been off his property in years. He would routinely start it and maintain the tractor as you can see. It is in outstanding shape with a wonderful patina. When he runs the tractor, he will routinely shut the fuel off and run the fuel out. This gives you a good idea as to the care this tractor has received. This auction includes the tractor as shown. The accessories we tried work. And ... moreit runs and drives well for the age of the tractor. We have no way to validate the hours but it runs well as you can see. It also retains most of the original components and sheet metal which is also outstanding. This tractor appears to be completely stock and may have been restored or reconditioned years ago. It has the stylized front as shown. Note this has to be pulled to start as electric start was optional. The model A was the first Deere tractor to come from the factory with rubber tires. Vintage tractors are truly an American icon and this is a beautiful original survivor for the age that runs and drives far better than expected. Vintage Antique 1949 John Deere MT Tractor NO RESERVE
Up for bid is a 1949 John Deere MT row crop tractor. Serial number 12405. This beast was owned by my late father but has not run in about 5 years. He said it was running and all steering, hydraulics, and transmission were working fine while he had it. He said it was not charging the battery. Also one of the front tires would not hold air. Due to health, he was not able to make the repairs. The 1949 John Deere MT was the first year to feature dual control Touch-O-Matic Hydrolics which allowed each side to be raised independently. You can find out more details and specs for this model by going to tractordata.com and search for John Deere MT. This is an original 6 volt system. It appears to be in good mechanical and physical condition for its age. It has been stored indoors since my father purchased it in June of 1988. The fuel does not smell ... morelike it has gone bad. But it would probably be wise to empty the tank and fill with fresh. The 6 volt battery is dead and needs to be replaced. He believed that the charging problem could be fixed by cleaning the carbon accumulation, from the brushes, from between the commutator contacts. It has no apparent radiator leaks or major oil leaks. The tractor also comes with a small box of misc parts. A new front tire and inner tube, The JD operators manual, I&T shop service manual, a large JD service manual, and a JD Dealers service manual. This is a great tractor to run as is or an excellent start for full on restoration. It would make a great addition to your collection or a great tractor to start one. I know very little about these old tractors so the best I can do is pass along what my father told me and as many pictures as I could post. 1940 JOHN DEERE H - MODEL H HAND START ANTIQUE JD
1940 John Deere Model H tractor. Serial#H20397(Original serial# tag is on tractor) Tractor runs and drives fine in all 4 gears(3 forward + reverse) Brakes work. Hand start. No PTO. Specs for the John Deere H are available on the internet. This tractor was fully restored in the early 1980's and has recently been touched up(repainted. New decals, etc) It has been garage-kept and run occassionally since its original restoration. Carburetor was recently built. Oil, oil filter and spark plugs recently changed. All 4 tires hold air. Rear tires are Firestone Field and Road 9.5-32. They are filled with either water or calcium choride to add weight to the tractor. Pitting on the rear rims near the valve stems in places. Front tires are Firestone 4.00-15 tube-type tires. I had one tube recently replaced because the tire was leaking. All tires are ... morefairly weather checked but do hold air without leaking. Wico magneto(E-series I believe) This is not an impeccable, show-winningly restored tractor but it does look nice as seen in the pictures. Water temperature guage works correctly and engine warms up and stabilizes at about 180 degrees. Does not overheat. Other guage has condensation inside it and I'm not sure if it works. The fuel selector lever(That selects front tank, back tank, or fuel off) is present but I have never used it. It would need to be reconnected underneath the fuel tanks(one small bolt) to be used as it was originally. I just always use the larger tank and shut off the tractor by shutting it off using the valve on top of the sediment bowl or by choking it out. we accept Cash or Paypal. and if you have any questions feel free ask I'd be happy to answer them.

Late John Deere BW parts tractor. This tractor has a six speed transmission. The tag is unreadable. The carb, mag, and seat are missing otherwise it is mostly complete. The wide front is missing the steering arms and one tie rod otherwise it is complete. I do have the spindle, hub, and wheel that is not pictured. The round tube wide front has no breaks or welds.
