After picking up fly fishing in college, Amy quickly became addicted, spending all her free time on the water. She started guiding as a way to share her love of fly fishing and encourage others to get outside and enjoy our natural areas. A Colorado native, Amy currently lives in Fort Collins, Colorado where she works as a biological technician with the U.S. Geological Survey in the off season. She has studied aquatic insects since 2009, collecting and identifying samples as a means of monitoring changes in various rivers and streams. Amy also has a freelance illustrating business on the side, specializing in aquatic insects and nature. When on the water with clients, Amy enjoys working on fishing skills new and old, sharing her knowledge of trout and insects, and most of all helping others create great fishing memories!
