Antique LEATHER tape measure Pat. Sept 15 1914 reel wind up 50'? OLD STEEL tool
In this listing I am offering a great garage find. Its an old antique reel tape measure that has a side wind up lever. It appears to be cased in leather and stitched at the sides. But is a hard circle disc. It is 3 3/8" in diameter and 3/4" thick. The tape itself is steel and has areas of rust and wear. The tape comes out great although I only dared pull out 6' of it.plus knowing I'd have to hand wind what I pulled out: Which did wind up smoothly as well. The numbers are not written as they are on todays tape measures. At the foot measure it has a small number on top and then it starts from 1 again ex. 5' small 6 on top) and the next inch is labeled 1"rather than the newer ones which say 61" This is hard to explain without seeing a photo so there are photos of the numerics included. 2 Vintage Tovay Drive Pin Punches (Used by Tool/Die Machinest Mechanic) - NICE
These are 2 old(vintage) drive pin punches which are in"very good" condition for their age. They were used by a tool and die machinest mechanic I believe in the 1970's-1980's. Both of them are inscribed Tovay"Israel" so I assume that is the manufacturer's name and location the punches were made at. Their measurements are also inscribed- 3/8 and 5/16(I assume inches) but I have seen alot of metric measurements with tool and die tools/equipment. The punches are heavy and have some rust on them. Otherwise I feel they are in top notch condition. I think these would be great tool and die collector items. Vintage Buffalo No. MTC-58 (Used by Tool /Die Machinest Mechanic) *Pipe Cutter
This is a"vintage" tool(which I believe was used for cutting such as a pipe cutter) and made by Buffalo(company in the USA! On the front. It reads: Buffalo No. MTC-58. The back reads: 3-16mm, 1/8 to 5 or 6/8 O.D. This was used by a tool and die machinest mechanic and I think it was from the 1970's-1980's era. It is 2" in length and approx. 1 1/4-1/5" in height. I don't know if it works nor if you can use it in today's technology. It is rusted. But, I believe this would be a great collector item. Here is an older tube bender or roller was pretty easy to crank and not sure exactly all of its functions as I just made sure it turn. still could use some cleaning but not crusty. just surface rust. the centre wheel looks like it comes off but I did not put much effort to get it off and will need some oil and a puller to do so. not sure what this was used for but came from a local century farm and was in a crate for many of years. no breaks and not sure if its all there but the pic show the tube I bent with it. and that was a seamed tube with no splitting when rolled. it was a manderal bend meaning the tube kept its shape and did not want to flatten out when bent. weight is 1/4 kg SHIPPING I use new/used boxes from a body shop and also reuse the bubble wrap. VINTAGE BLACKSMITH MADE MINERS HAMMER PICK HEAD MINING TOOL
You are bidding on a Vintage Miner’s Hammer Pick Head that appears to be Blacksmith Made. This vintage tool head measures 9 1/8” long. 1 3/8” wide, and 1 3/8” in height. The pick portion is 4 ½” in length from the back edge of the handle socket. And the hammer part is 2 3/8” long. The flats on the octagon shaped head are not uniform in width and show hammer marks from being hand forged. The handle socket is oval and measures 1 ¼” by 5/8” at the bottom opening. This piece came from the estate of a lady who said her family lived in the San Francisco area many years ago. So this might even date back to the gold rush days in California. We have no way to prove this. But we do know from several tool collector references that most hammers were forged by blacksmiths before the 1860s. This vintage piece shows use. The pick is somewhat rounded ... moreon the point. And the handle socket is a little cooked which further attests to it being hand made. The metal has a dark brown smooth patina.
