Pneumatic Riveting Hammer Air Riveter Keller Super SR50
Keller Super series riveting hammers are designed with an accurately timed cycling valve which provides smooth consistent operation of the tool. Having this precisely timed valve allows for a reduced weight of the tool as the handle thickness can be reduces because not as much excess weight is needed on the back end of the piston travel to overcome the vibration resulting from an inaccurate timed valve. Keller Super riveting hammers are lighter than other riveting hammers in the same class and are one inch shorter overall than competitor’s riveting hammers in the same class while maintaining the same piston stroke. Vibration in these tools is reduced and air consumption is also less than competitor’s tools of the same class. This is a CHICAGO PNEUMATIC TOOL. Model: CP- 351 SABH. This can be used as a flange closer or a riveter/rivet set. The anvil is 1 1/4" wide X 1/2" deep X 5/16" opening. Quick connect is 3/8" male. I tried this on various pieces of metal. Used it to close a hem. Pieces are 22 ga. to 16 ga. at the thickest. Also tried it on the rivets. Set down 1/8" aluminum, on up to 3/16" steel. Not sure how big a rivet this will set, 3/16" was the biggest I had. This can operate one hit at a time. Or by holding the trigger down, will keep cycling, probably does 2 or 3 hits a second. Works good. Anvil end looks good to very good. There is a support ring with cable for attaching to a tool balancer. Support ring pivots and rotates. Overall length is 18" Thanks for looking. Trigger does work. But it does not seem like the tool is actuating propely compared to properly functioning tools of this type. It also looks as if there is something broke off in the front nozzle, which is shown in the photos. Also missing the rear deflector. Cosmetically the tool does have signs of use including scratches.
