One of the best. Kaeser BS50 rotary screw air compressor. 40 HP. Air cooled cabinet enclosed. Rated for 195 cfm@ 110 psi. Straight 480 volt three phase, no 230 volt. 54 amps at 480 volt. This is a VERY nice compressor in VERY nice shape- I didn't clean it up at all. It came from a major manufacturing company and was one of four similiar units ran through a sequencer. The hour meter shows 12002 operating hours, however it was replaced at 40426 hours, which means it has about 52000 hours run time. The old meter is in the cabinet. It has 32178 load hours. This is noting, these are designed for 100000 hours before rebuild. The previous owners were serious about maintenance. This compressor has new heat exchangers. Very nice used 2005 Kaeser SX 6 Screw Compressor with TA 5 air dryer and holding tank. This machine only has 69 hours on it since it was new! These compressors will run for more than 100.000 hrs! Originally purchased by the government agency. Obviously they did not use the machine much and consequently the air compressor did not accumulate many hours. A company that specializes in air compressors just check out and tested this unit. Time to fill tank, cut in and cut out all work great and compressor runs quiet. Air filter and oil are clean. Since it was stored outside, the top was rusted so we primed and painted the compressor, dryer, and tank(see pictures) We taped off the stickers and emblems. Up for your consideration is a what I am going to call used. I am pretty sure it is new as it just has a lot of shelf wear on it) is a Kaeser AMD 6550 automatic condensate drain valve. This is a very high end valve that wastes no compressed air to remove condensate from your compressor, dryer, tank, drip leg or filter. It has a 1/2" NPT inlet and 1/2NPT outlet. Kaeser SM11 10HP Rotary Screw Air Compressor 230/460V 3 Phase - See Video!
For sale is a 1987 Kaeser SM 11. The compressor isn't perfect cosmetically. But that is expected from an older unit. It runs well and produces 42 cfm at 110 psi. It only has 30050 hours so it still has plenty of life left in it. It is currently wired for 460V, but can easily be switched to 230V. I can switch the wiring for the buyer. The oil looks clean, but I'm not sure when it was changed last. I would recommend changing the oil and filters within the next 1000 operating hours or so. The compressor is missing the panel for the electrical connections. A cover could easily be made if the buyer desires. The green indicator light doesn't appear to work. This doesn't affect performance and I'm sure the light could be fixed/replaced inexpensively. Please see the pictures and video to determine the condition for yourself. 50HP Kaeser BS60 rotary screw air compressor - rare high pressure model!
This is a Kaeser model BS60 rotary screw air compressor. It is rated at 178 cfm. And set up as a high pressure unit- 190 psi! The pressure can be set down. It is currently set up for 230 volt 3 phase but can easily be changed to 480 volt by switching a few wires in the control cabinet. This compressor includes shutdown protection for high temp, low oil, motor overload and wrong rotation. New in 1997, it is showing only about 45000 hours run time, and only 23000 hours loaded- which is NOTHING, Kaeser designs their compressors for a minimum of 100000 hours before overhaul. We changed the oil and filters, good to go! The only issues I am aware of is the struts which hold open the top are a little wimpy and could be replaced, and there is a hole in one of the back panels where the previous owner had ducted the intake outside of his building. ... moreKaeser builds one of the best air compressors in the world, and this is a good example.
