INDUSTRIAL WOOD MOLD WATER STEAM TANK STEAMPUNK FACTORY
Up for auction is a very rare item that I found at a business closeout. I was told this mold made the tank that went on cistern and holding tanks back in the late 1800's or early 1900's. The company had been founded in the late 1800's and had this(I have one other mold in another auction) mold on display. To me. Due to the age and ingenuity that went into the early industrial revolution this is more art at this point than an antique. It has the mold protruding from both sides and the"hangers" are steel bolted onto the wood mold. This would be very easy to hang and would be a one of a kind find. Measures approx. 13" x 22 1/4" just the wood block part) and 13" x 27 1/2" with the hangers included. The mold protrudes approx. 2.5" out from the wood frame. It also has a small drip plate and a carrying handle, on the front it is stamped in Hebrew Mayim Achronim, and on the bottom, made in Israel, it has never been cleaned or polished, and may be from the late 1940s. Water was added to the box, to my surprise it did not leak, and when the lever was pushed in, a few drops of water was released. This can be used, or a perfect collectors item/ show piece.
