Out the back. As seen in the pictures, is a 2" PVC pipe with the orange nipples placed about every foot. The chickens LOVE IT! The water stays clean, the nipples do not drip and they give fresh water everytime the chickens peck at them. It was fun to build. We have used these type of watering nipples for years and have helped design many systems. Unlike others, if you have questions or problems during installation we are here to help. This listing is for 1 360 degree nipple. The orange part you see under the PVC pipe. These are threaded and I used just a dab of silicone on the threads to make them water tight. You will need to drill an 11/32" hole( we offer this hard to find size drill bit in our store for $3.00. Please check our other listings) and thread the nipples in. These also will work with a 5 gallon bucket. Drill holes in the bottom of the bucket. Insert your nipple, add water and your lid, then hang it where the chickens can get it. You will have fun building and designing your system. We did. I use one system outside in the summer and a seperate system inside in the winter. Just so nothing freezes. I was amazed at how quickly the chickens took to the nipples. A couple taps on one and their natural curiosity took over. Once they had fresh clean water hit their beaks. There was no turning back! Spectacular Native American Zuni bolo tie featuring a mosaic technique called“channel inlay” became popular in the 1940's among Zuni jewelers. In this method the stone are separated by a thin strip of silver. Remarkably. The silver strips are not laid in when the stone work is done. C1920 CHINESE REPUBLIC PERIOD BRONZE QUAIL BIRD FORM CENSOR INCENSE NO RESERVE
This listing is for an antique Chinese Republic Period(1912-1948) bronze quail form figural censor or incense burner. The censor measures 6 ¾ inches or 17 cm high. And is 5 ¼ inches or 13 cm wide at the base. The bronze censor features a full standing figure of quail bird. The bird stands on a large leaf and has its head turned to look over its back. On his back its back is a lid. With a small hole to release the smoke, which just pulls up and reveals a hollow interior. The bronze has a dark chocolate brown patina or color which is all original to the piece. The bronze is in good condition. There are age appropriate variations to the patina. Update 3/18/13: This info just in from a fellow ebayer. I just found out this toy was created in collaboration between the California Department of Parks and Recreation and Post Cereals. They were to be sold through the gift shops at the state parks. But the project fell through. It is unknown how many of these quail were made since the project fell through, so this could be a very rare item and possibily limited. This item is a vintage Post Cereal Cali Quail. I purchased this item in the late 80's or early 90's because I used to collect cereal premiums. He is in good stored condition with no tears or rips in his material. He is a must for any cereal or advertising collector. Large Rare Vintage Hubert Herr Quail cuckoo clock running 3 weight 2 bird
Up for auction is a large Hubert Herr cuckoo clock with a rare quail quarter hour strike. Clock movement has been cleaned and oiled and runs well. Both cuckoo bellow tops and the quail call top have been replaced. Clock case and midframe are in nice condition with only a few nicks and scuffs. The crown(not original to the clock) has some wear and had a break with some bits of wood missing. I glued, puttied and stained over. Repair looks alot better than when i found the top. A matching trio of 420 gram weights drive the time, cuckoo and quail call on this clock. Im not sure if the pendulum is original to the clock, but it has the same deep carving that the midframe and crown have. Clock strikes the quail call once with 3 chips and gong at the quarter hour, 6 chirps and 2 gong strikes at the half hour followed by the cuckoo call and a deeper ... moregong strike. At the 45 minute marke the quail chirps 9 times and 3 gong strikes, at the top of the hour the quail chirps 12 times followed by 4 light gong striked followed by the cuckoo calling and the deeper gong strike counting the hours. A very busy clock that goes off every 15 minutes, a must for the cuckoo clock collector. Both quail and cuckoo may be silenced by sliding small wires across the doors. Please note that this is not a easy clock to set up, once the strike is out of line, its a bit tricky to get it back right, therefore some adjustment might be required after shipment. I will set the clock to 12 o clock after it has completed its strike. I will also assist winning bidder in set up if required. Larger cuckoo case measures 17 1/4 inches tall, 12 1/2 inches wide, and 7 3/4 inches from the wall to the face of the bird. I will break down and pack this clock with the utmost care. Please note when setting the time, both the quail and cuckoo weights should be removed, or you must allow the strike to cycle out. This is the usual way these quail movements get out of line. Glass Hen on Nest Covered Dish Quail Pie Round Camphor c1880 mouseover to enlarge Domed lid designed with flowers& leaves. Wings cover 9 little chicks around mother hen or quail~~Base is designed on the sides with looped arches, braided bands, interwoven strands& 4 ropelike cords at the bottom~~Dish bottom is interwoven with 12 vertical bands at center~~3 piece mold~~Base is 3" tall~~Dia at top is 7 3/8" and slopes down to 5 5/8" at footring dia~~~Inside was some surface rubs that have taken off some of the camphor frosted finish~~Also nics& scratches which did the same to the finish~~Top rim has 3 small chips and fleabites around~~Footring and bottom edge also has finish missing from rubs?~~No cracks~~~Lid ring has one chip and fleabites around~~Rather large Chip on side of hens beak& one small chip on the ... moreend of two tail feathers~~One chip on back of spread wing~~Air bubbles and inclusions in glass~~3 mold lines(1 in the front center which is quite easy to spot plus one on each side that curves from back of wing to the edge~~Very hard to see these because they blend in so well with the elaborate designs& none can be seen on the underneath)~~Believed to be made in the 1880's by the Riverside Glass Works~~Overall height is 6 3/4"~ for more great items! VINTAGE SIGNED ZUNI QUAIL INLAID PIN PENDANT SILVER NATIVE AMERICAN THUNDERBIRD
This is an old antique pair of Native American Indian Zuni inlaid brooch pins from local estate. The quail is also a pendant and it is signed with an artist hallmark. See photo. It is 1 3/4" by 3/4" and has inlay of turquoise. Mother of pearl, abalone, black onyx, red coral and a gray agate type stone. It is set in silver and in very good condition. The other pin looks a bit older and is 1 3/8" by 1" and is not signed. It has a thunderbird motif with inlay of turquoise, MOP, coral and onyx. It is also in nice condition. Thanks for looking.
