Stangl Quail 11 in. Plate Sportsman
This Quail platter or Chop Plate is a little more than 11 in. It is in excellent condition. I am the first owner having worked at Stangl in my teens. I've had 4 Sportsman plates on my wall ever since 1969 and never used them for practical purposes. The white mark"Stangl" on the bottom means it was a second. That is because of a small glaze smear on the bottom right. I've made a close-up of it and you can see it is hardly noticeable. I love the red clay of NJ that was used to make these beautifully carved and handpainted pieces. It makes each very individual. I will be putting up a Pheasant also. Here is a set of 3 framed 6" square ceramic bird tiles from H& R Johnson. Ltd. Cristal made in England for ABCO Originals of Lafayette, Calif. They consist of a beautiful Ringnecked Preasant and Mountain Quail signed by A. Singer. The third tile is of two geese in flight(unsigned) With the wood frame they meausre 7 1/2" square. The backs have rubber protective bumpers when used as trivets(3 are missing) and holes drilled in the back for hanging on a wall. The tiles are all in excellent condition.no scratches, chips, cracks, etc. This set would make excellent gifts for Mother's Day or Father's Day coming up soon. Two Vintage French France bowls quail gold edged
For your consideration are these two vintage bowls made in France. Bottom of bowls just say made in France PV 120. One bowl is in very nice shape. The other was used much more and has quite a bit of crazing and much of the gold around rim is worn away. I believe the birds to be quails, but cannot say that for sure. This listing is for two vintage Carlsbad plates. They both feature the same intricate red border with gilt accents around the border. In the center they feature two different wildlife scenes. One depicting two rabbits and the other depicting two quails. On the back they have the traditional Carlsbad Austria hallmark. They measure 8 1/4” in diameter. The rabbit plate has a small flake from the back edge towards the bottom of the plate. It cannot be seen from the front. The quail plate features a star crack on the back but it does not go all the way through the plate and again it is not noticeable from the front of the plate. Welcome. I'm offering a ring which I'm attributing to Juan Qualo(1903- 1966) It is a famous piece. In the Kennedy Museum. All the stones were hand cut and buffed and set. They are very fine. He made this ring of very clean bright blue turquoise, clean blood red coral, jet, abalone in green and yellow mother of pearl. It's inlaid in channel inlay and dot inlay and the inlay is superb. He also used his decorative stamping. I am offering separately one of his bolos and pins and those two are made primarily in deer antler but with all the other stones that are in this ring, too. The ring would make a great set with the other two pieces and the last picture above shows them all together in one picture. This ring is currently size 6.5 but it can be sized with laser. 1970s LARRY FAVORITE Gambel's Quail Bolo Ironwood Mosaic Inlay Sterling Silver
Welcome! In the 1950s using beautiful wood in Native American jewelry became popular and wood that looks like rosewood. Ironwood, was used by some of he most famous Native American artists, such as Charles Loloma. This is not Native American, however, and it has a unique history. The artist was a mechanical engineer, living in Phoenix, who developed his own techniques for working with ironwood and he created an original drawing for this inlay of this piece, from silver ingot into ironwood. He confirms that he made this bolo in the 1970s. He left his career as a mechanical engineer in order to devote his life to this work and the work has been in galleries throughout the world: in France as well as throughout the US and still is sold in the best galleries in the US and France. He has won numerous prizes for this inlay work into ironwood and ... morestill continues this work today. His work commands very high prices indeed. This bolo is phenomenal quality with the sterling silver Gambel's Quail. Inlaid into the wood with no gaps, no glue no cement showing and it's very fine inlay work; the best you can imagine. It's a beautiful piece, very simple and elegant. The clasp is a Bennett that was used from 1967-1983 but I have confirmed with the artist that this piece was made in the 1970s. The leather is still entirely useful though it shows some wear. It comes with the original sterling silver tips, which the previous owner shined. The back of the bolo shows some shallow hairlines in the wood. These are natural to the wood and will not worsen. Larry Favorite says he sometimes uses them for his inlay work, but in this case he cut the form of the quail and inlaid the sterling silver into that, as is done with mosaic inlay. This was done absolutely perfectly, with no gaps showing at all. I'd use some leather and wood conditioner on the bolo and tie but they are in excellent vintage condition. 5 Acoma Miniature Plates Dean Reano Quail Turtle Traditional Designs 2"
Five 2" miniature plates. 3 are signed D.R. Dean Reano is of Acoma, Santo Domingo and Sioux heritage and has been an active potter since 1981 working on miniature to moderate size monochrome and polychrome plates. Dean's work is featured in Gregory Schaaf's"Southern Pueblo Pottery: 2000 Artist Biographies" and Berger& Schiffer's"Pueblo& Navajo Contemporary Pottery" All in good condition, no chips or cracks. Black ones show very slight rubbing. Age unknown.

2 welded 1/2 inch wide steel KokoPelli & 1 quail figures folk art wall hangers
Up for bid are 3 welded 1/2 inch wide steel figures. There are 2 Kokopelli and 1 quail figures. I guess they would be wall hangers. They do not have any hooks. But would hang on a nail or hook. The combined weight is close to 3 pounds. The large Kokopelli and quail figures look like they had a black finish, some of which is missing. The small Kokopelli has a speckled look, with some of the finish missing. All have some rust. They could be painted very easily. This item/items as most of the things I sell. Came from an auction, flea market, estate sale or rummage sale. Vintage signed mexican vase with beautiful quail,bird and flower motif. cork lid
Unique beautiful hand painted. Signd mexican vase. Quail, bird and flowers. Blue and tan colors. I don't know if the cork is original to the piece. The only damage is on the cork itself and on the bottom of the vase, it looks like there is slight surface cracks on the glaze. Item stands appx. 13 inches tall. Very unique vase.

Condition Notes: Jar and lid both show only minor wear. On the outside of jar are a couple of minor black spots or blemishes. You really have search to find them.
