The Hen has a nice tall comb that is very good and she is laying some nice large eggs. I would use distilled water so there is no bacteria grows in the tap water, google it. and let the eggs sit for 18 to 24 hours before incubating them. You can see they have solid black feet and toes and skin, etc the pictures do not lie, please look. You are buying eggs from a 4-h member and you can see the NIP Paper that they were just tested. And now it’s time to send these curious and strange items to new homes. This particular item must have interested him because both his and my mother’s families came from Newark. New Jersey. Please note that I adjusted the lighting of some of the photos so the details and printing were visible. The full page photo of‘February’ was taken without adjustment. This 1929 calendar advertises the A. Cyphers Company. Newark, N.J. This company was established in 1894. It sold everything you needed to raise chickens. As the advertising slogan reads, Chick to Chicken use"CYPHO" Feeds" And"Cypho Scratching Food/ Clean– Sound– Grain. ... moreThis style calendar was a"System Calendar" Made of cardboard. The entire calendar has a light gray border with Art Nouveau-style designs, including a swallowtail butterfly, on the top third. Unfortunately, one corner broke off and was lost long ago. At the top center is a metal-rimmed hole for hanging which also has a loop to hold a pencil. A second piece of cardboard which was originally attached along the bottom edge holds the calendar pages by means of 2 thin metal oval loops. In the middle of the cardboard is a metal bracket which swivels. This construction meant you could swivel the bracket. Move the smaller piece towards you, slide the page of the newly-finished month up and over and re-swivel the bracket. In this way, you kept the entire year’s calendar. Overall size: 10 3/4" 27 ½ cm wide by 13 3/4" 35 cm high. Smaller piece which holds pages. 10 3/4" 27 ½ cm wide by 7" 18 cm high. This"System Calendar" featured one printed page per month. We have a vintage Roto Egg Poultry washer. The property where we now live was a working chicken farm with 3 chicken coops that ran 100 yards each. The property belonged to a retired Naval Admiral. This Roto Egg is a vintage one from back in the day. It works great! Here is how it works. Take a bucket with water and add the eggs that need to be cleaned. Put it on top of the Roto Egg washer and turn it on. It kind of works like an old agitator washer. If you have ever dealt with cleaning eggs you know it is not the favorite chore for anyone. Antique 1930s ART DECO American Poultry Association Medallion Josten Owatonna
If you are a fan of good poultry-and who isn't?then this item is for you! For auction is this antique 1930s medallion from the American Poultry Association! This medal is an octagon with an art deco stem at the top with a ring for a key-chain or necklace. Etc. The medallion is minted/stamped as a coin would be and measures 1¼" x 1½" It features the words American Poultry Association over the APA insignia of a wishbone and two feathers. The words" Standard Bred" are on one feather and the word" Exhibition" is on the other. This medal is in very good condition but is dirty and has not been cleaned in any way. My guess is that it is from around 1937 because it was found in the same box with an Ohio State Fair medal dated that year. This“rare bird" may prove to be quite a feather in your cap.

Vintage Spice Tins - Kroger - Set of 3 - Poultry - Nutmeg - Celery Seed
Celery Seed. Ground Nutmeg, Poultry Seasoning Set of 3 Vintage Spice Tins Each of these wonderful tins is from the Kroger family of spices. These vintage tins are beautifully aged. Each shows their age through rust& discoloration. The exact age of these tins are unknown. However. There are a few markings on the poultry seasoning& celery seed which may lead to more information. The Kroger ground nutmeg has a recipe on the back for“Nutmeg Butterballs. The Kroger celery seed is marked with a price of 63¢ on the bottom. The Kroger poultry seasoning is the only one with a plastic red insert on the lid; the other 2 are only made from tin. All 3 tins are unique because of the obvious aging of the containers. These vintage tins would be a great addition to any collection. They would even look great as display pieces.
