10 Antique Vintage HONEY BEE HIVE Foundation Frames Shallow & Deep Super, Apiary
These are 10 antique/ vintage wooden frames found in a farmer's barn. Foundation frames are typically wired and covered with a thin sheet of beeswax that honey bees use as a foundation to start making honeycombs that they fill with honey. Two of these are about 17 3/4 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches tall and would fit in a shallow super. Seven of these are about 17 3/4 inches wide and 9 1/4 inches tall and would fit in a deep super. One of these is 17 3/4 inches tall and 6 1/4 inches wide and would fit in a medium super. These old frames are not in bad condition. Most could use some extra glue and nails and sanitization if you plan on using them for bees. There are still traces of honeycomb on these and they aren't completely clean and solid. I rinsed the dust off and gave them a once over with soapy water but that's all I did to ... moreclean them.I fixed up 10 of these old frames and put them in my hive and they are holding up pretty well but are not the strongest frames in the world. I am using them for brood- I don't think these would hold up during the rigors of extraction. There are a few slats missing here and there. And there are some cracks. There are still some nails and wires sticking out on some, so please be careful when you open the package. The wood has a nice patina from age and beeswax and I also think that these would be fun to use for crafts. Maybe picture frames as a gift for your favorite beekeeper? Thanks for looking!

Antique Vintage HONEY BEE HIVE for Nuc Colony, Raising Queens, or Swarms, Apiary
These is an antique/ vintage nuc bee hive found in a farmer's barn. Small nuc hives are often used for splitting colonies. Raising new colonies, rearing queens, or catching small swarms. This comes with the hive body, inner cover, and outer cover. This old hive not in bad condition. It could use some extra glue and nails and sanitization if you plan on using it for bees. It's not completely clean. I rinsed the dust off and gave everything a once over with soapy water but that's all I did to clean it. The hive body is nice and solid. There are still some nails sticking out on the outside. So please be careful when you open the package. I think someone used to hang their tools from these, would be my guess. The inner cover is a little bit flimsy but still intact. The outer cover could us some work. It needs some nails and glue and ... moreone of the framing boards has a crack(I tried to take a photo of this) The roofing on here is starting to peel up around the edges. The hive body measures 22 inches long including the landing area. The box itself is 20 inches long. It's 8 inches wide. The hole hive when assembled including outer cover is about 12 1/2 inches high. The wood on this set has a nice patina from age and beeswax and I also think that this would be fun to use for crafts. Maybe a planter as a gift for your favorite beekeeper? VINTAGE CHARMOUTH POTTERY BEE HIVE HONEY POT JAM JAR WITH COVER 3 " TALL
A lovely little honey pot in the shape of a beehive. Made by Charmouth Pottery, England. The lid of the hive come off to reveal the honey pot and there is a slot for a spoon. On the hive body is a bee in relief. The glaze is a brown matt color and the beehive is ceramic. This little honey pot is 3½ins(8.5cm) tall and 2ins(4.5cm) from back to front. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. This is a nice decorative item to sit on a kitchen shelf. Maybe full of honey, or small change, keys, trinkets etc. Honey pots like these from Charmouth Pottery of England were sold in the 1980s.
