Vintage Honey Pot in the shape of a Beehive Basket with Bees. The Bees covering the hive are what really add character. The one on top that acts as the handle may not be the queen but is definitely the top attraction of this piece. The top has a typical notch for the handle of the honey dipper. The honey dipper is included but I am not sure that it is original equipment. The Honey Pot was from Tundra Imports Inc. Japan. The Honey Dipper says Fox Run Craftsmen, Ivyland, PA. U.S.A. There are no chips or cracks on the pot or cover. There is some crackled glaze and one area of the honey pot has a couple of millimeters of the glaze spalling off. This wonderful piece of Frankoma American-made art pottery is cute as bug! The bee sitting on top of the hive makes it such a neat piece! This Vintage Embossed Bees on Hive Design Honey Server with Tropic Bee Orange Blossom Honey Label was made of earthenware in Japan. It is approximately 3 1/4-inches tall. 2-inches in diameter at the top rim(not including the spout) 3 1/2-inches in diameter at the bottom edge& the opening for the cork that is included is 1-inch in diameter. Around the outside of the server is brown glaze over an embossed hive design in the background& 2 embossed bees on the front& two embossed bees on the back on the hive. There is a cork that fits into the opening on the top of the server. On the side with the spout is the original Tropic Bee Orange Blossom Honey label& on the bottom of the is a partial oval white& blue paper label with'MADE IN JAPAN' on it. This honey server is in excellent condition with no cracks. Chips, scratches ... moreor fading of the designs. There is a slight bit of crazing on the bottom of the server& the cork top edge has a small bit missing. Vintage Bee Hive Honey Comb Honey Pot or Sugar Bowl Japan
Very nice and I think quite old sugar bowl honey pot. It is shaped like a honey comb bee hive. There is a bee on the top of the lid and bees on the bowl. There are handles which makes me think it might have been a sugar bowl. It has Japan on the bottom engraved in black. Measures about 4 1/2" tall including lid x 5 1/2" wide including both handles x 3 3/4" at the base. There is crazing on this piece probably due to its age. No chips. Nicks or cracks. Hand Painted Vaseline Glass Honey Pot Bee Hive Pattern Jar Signed by Bernard Boyd This precious honey pot in two pieces is made of vaseline glass by Boyd. It is signed in gold on the interior by Bernard Boyd. Based on its stamp of a triangle with the B and an upper and lower line. It was pressed the third five years of Boyd Crystal Art Glass' existence between 1988-1993. There are a total of seven hand painted bees in black. Yellow and white with a painted black entry to the hive. The jar with its top measures 5 ¼” tall and is 4” wide. It is in pristine condition. Very few of these jars were painted and even fewer were signed by the maker.
