Here I have a pair of very early Sevres Bisque Urns with a goat head motif. They have a garland and fruit design on bodies. Each urn is hallmarked on base. They stand aprox 7.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide( largest size from outer goat heads) They have had restoration some time ago. A lot of the fruit& garland design has been worked on and there are still losses. The tip of one horn& on one urn the small section above base has had restoration. Here we have the Cowan pottery ram bookends by American Artist Waylande Gregory. This pair is in the hard to find glaze of black. A semi mat finish. The condition is very nice, no chips, no cracks and no repairs. Both are marked with the two Cowan logo marks on the base.This pair was introduced in the 1930 catalog as E-3 and since Cowan closed its doors in 1931, this is one of the harder pair of bookends to find. This listing is for an unusual vintage to antique figure found at an estate sale. This cherub or putti with a full grown and powerful billy goat is made of porcelain and is 5 1/2" high by 5 1/2" long. It is in excellent condition except for a tiny fleabite in the gold edging at the bottom. It has an incised number on the bottom 5012D and an Erphila Germany stamp. Erphila was an importer of fine German and Bavarian ware but I don't think this firm did any manufacturing itself so the manufacturer is actually unknown. However. I have seen an almost identical figure on ebay with the putti riding the goat and that one was made in Bavaria by Gerold& Co. SHIPPING INFORMATION. Shipping information is as follows. Circa 1860, originally part of a complete miniature childs tea set. The little pitcher stands 2 3/4" tall on a raised pedestal base and measures 3 3/4" across the top rim with a wide spout and applied handle. The creamer is transfer printed in a rich country red finished with pearlware glaze. It is decorated in the scarce GOAT pattern(also known as"Goat Girl" Depicting a girl dancing with her pet goat. There is a manor house in the background with lush vegetation and a twisted loop border pattern. The image repeats on each side of the bowl. The decoration is so elaborate that there is very little white space on the piece. The jug ... moreis unmarked. The maker was Cork Edge and Malkin& Co. A 19th century pottery manufactory in the Staffordshire region of England in the mid-19th century. The colors and decoration are generally bright and well preserved. Although there is an area of possibly retouched paint on the bell at the nanny goat's neck. THIS IS A VERY RARE AND VERY COLLECTED WHEN THEY COME AVAILABLE.SCHAFER VATES GERMAN CIRCA 1890s CREAMER. THIS FELLOW IS THE WELL DRESSED BILLY GOAT. HE IS NUMBERED AND HAS THE FACTORY MARK ON THE BASE. HE HAS A SMALL PIECE OF THE ORANGE PAINT OF HIS JACKET TOUCHED UP IF YOU CAN MATCH THE COLOR. THE POOR FELLOW HAS LOST ONE OF HIS EARS ALONG THE DECADES. THE REST OF HIM IS IN SOUND CONDITION.
