We purchased this solar fence charger last year to fence in our farm. But as we expanded we needed a model that could support a larger fenced in area. It worked in keeping the deer out and is suggested for keeping small animals like chickens, dogs, goats,rabbits, etc fenced in. This a 3 mile charger in perfect working order. It uses the suns rays to charge a battery within the charger so it will provide electricity when the sun isn't out. The regular price for this model is $156 and currently is on sale at their website for $119. Chargers are an investment in keeping animals either fenced in or fenced out. I would recommend this charger for an area of 3 miles of fencing wire or less. Anything beyond that will have less of a zap. Gallagher S17 Super Charger / Energizer Electric Fence
I bought these two units 2 years ago to start protecting my deer food plots in east Texas. They worked very good but they won't work for me because they will not keep cows out or at least the bull that just takes the fence down. They sat this past year in the garage and I'm not sure if the batteries are still good. I doubt that they are but I will try to bring them back to life and trickle charge them. Only one unit has the connecting wires but another one can easily be made. Just google the model number for more info on them. These units sell for 180.00 plus tax new, save a lot of money and buy these. These units work perfectly when I put them up, sold as is. HOL DEM ELECTRIC FENCER MODEL 57 in original box. These items are in their original packaging and the paperwork is in the box with the"charger" The charger measures 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 4 5/8" deep. It does not look like it has been hung outside as I do not see any rust. The original Hol Dem sticker/paper is still on the back of the unit. The other original box contains a Studded"T" Post Connector Kit for faster fencing. 20 Complete Insulator assemblies as seen in pics. The outer box and sticker/paper on top of box shows age and wear. There is some weight to both boxes thus the higher shipping. If this item was ever used it was minimal for the condition seen. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I will ansewr as best I can.
