I would use distilled water so there is no bacteria grows in the tap water, google it. and let the eggs sit for 18 to 24 hours before incubating them. You can see they have solid black feet and toes and skin, etc the pictures do not lie, please look. You are buying eggs from a 4-h member and you can see the NIP Paper that they were just tested. Vintage Tramp Art Wood Toy* Chickens Feeding* This is a truly unique. Vintage toy, handmade of wood. That appears to date from the 1930s or 1940s. It is a little paddle with 5 chickens whose heads bob up and down as they"eat" from the"feed" painted in orange and yellow on the paddle. Each chick is painted white with black feather and wing outlines and red mouths and combs. The movement of the heads is caused by the movement of a lead sinker attached by string to the neck of each chicken and strung through holes in the paddle to the bottom. Lift up the paddle and the heads all raise. Place the paddle down on a surface. And all the heads go down to"eat" There is no maker's mark of any kind on this toy. Westmoreland Easter Chick plate Leaf & Scroll with baby chickens blue opalescent
Gorgeous little 7 1/4" decorative plate made by Westmoreland in the early 1970's. It show 2 little chicks and the opalescence is so nice on rim which is a Leaf& Scroll pattern. Westmoreland made these in white milk glass but they are hard to find in blue. Ask questions.I will reply. Request additional photos.I will send. I think these may be called water slide decals and they are used for ceramics. I have a bunch of them.bought them at a garage sale 5-10 years ago. This bunch all involve animals.cows. Pigs, lambs, roosters, ducks, geese, unicorns, and two different Easter pages. The unicorn sheet has two dirty ones; not sure if this comes off when they are transferred but I'm afraid to put water on them now. It looks like hot chocolate. This is a sweet Meissen porcelain figure of a little girl feeding her chickens. It measures approximately 4 3/4 inches high and is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs. Just a tiny bit of paint wear to the back of her blue bodice. Very minor on display. Marked with impressed numbers and the Meissen crossed swords, a first quality piece. Wonderful for the collector!
