Here is vintage bee keeping equipment. The hat has a lions international sticker on the front and band inside to keep tight to your head is broken. The hat is made of some type of resin material- lightweight. The netting which goes over the hat has holes and snags in material. The part you look thru is more rigid material with larger netting in excellent condition. The string/ rope on the top( over top of hat) seam in netting is way to long- there is no string for the lower section. There is a red piece of something- it might have been some type of elastic closure for the bottom- would make sense to me! The gloves have L for large and string proof gloves stamped on them. Dovetailing/finger joint machine, Beekeeping woodworking equipment dado saw!
This machine is a finger joint making dado saw used specifically for making beehive boxes. The boxes shown in the pictures were made using this very saw. It was manufactured by Carl E. Johnson Co. of Lincoln Park Michigan. It works great and can be seen in person in Marysville Ohio. I can have it delivered anywhere in the US for $750 or less. It has a 220 volt motor on it and the sawdust goes into the bottom under the seat. There is a fitting to hook a dust collector to it or you can open the end of the box and'rake' the saw dust out every so often. Cash. Check any form of payment is accepted. Bee Hive Box Joint Jig Beekeeping Equipment
Hello. Built hundreds of hives with this little gem. Its a very basic box joint jig, and does better than some of the high priced fancier ones. keeps it simple. fastens to your mitre gauge, most have a couple holes to screw through. all you need is a dado set at 3/4" wide and 3/4" deep, put the jig aligned with the dado as shown, and cut away, also I marked the jig for fronts and sides, very easy to use, I have also used it for other applications besides hive bodies.
