This Crosby-Laughlin Open Hook 4-Way Spreader has four 1/2" wire rope/cables that measure 4 feet long. The four Crosby-Laughlin open hooks are numbered"SWL3T" One hook has a slight curvature but nothing that would affect its function. One cable also has a couple of broken wires. But again, nothing that would affect its function. The master ring measures 11" long by 7" wide by 1-1/4" thick. This 4-Way Spreader is in great shape for its vintage age. This is in nice used condition everything moves freely and I see almost no ware just some light stains. The spring latch is still very good. This is a Crosby 6' block size, with a 3' diameter sheave, the total length of this measures 12 inch's end to end it will take up to a 7/8' manila size rope. 6" CROSBY SNATCH BLOCK. 8 TON WITH HOOK. HEAVILY USED, BUT GOOD SHAPE.
This CROSBY snatch block was left behind on my property after some uninvited loggers left with one of my fallen trees following a storm. We tried to find who they were but could not. The snatch block. Sawdust, and a missing tree was the only evidence of their presence. I hope it was a fair trade. I was not a happy camper until I found the block. The snatch block looks like it has been heavily used. But also looks like it is in good shape. The 6" pulley is designed to take up to a 1" steel cable. It appears to have"8 TON" in raised print(see pic) but the number is difficult to accurately discern. If you are seriously interested in this, I would assume you know more about it than I do.
