This is an excellent condition. Zeiss transmitted light base with two frosted glass plates and original removable stage clips included, for the Zeiss Stereo Microscope Systems. The two frosted plates are mint, like new. The base fits the L and LO standard table stands. It can also be set under any other stereo microscope with the light directed down the back small covered clear glass opening. The light bounces off a couple of mirrors, one clear and one soft matt, internally and up through the stage plate. The base, as indicated, also comes with the two stage clips holding a slide if desired on either stage plate which are 84mm in diameter. The condition, as mentioned, is excellent. But the knobs show very little wear, indicating that it has seen little use. The movement is a little stiff, with slight backlash, the gears look excellent, and the brass sliding surfaces are smooth.
