I reformed one unit, the one with the red mark on the + terminal, with the following results: Leakage: ~.12 mA@ 460 VDC, Capacitance: ~ 520 uFd, PF = ~ 5% giving a computed ESR: ~.15 Ohms. ESR measurements on my tester that get down below 1 Ohm are iffy and at the mercy of aging switch contacts in the tester(and other wiring, terminals and test leads) test leads alone measure.05 Ohms. Here is a set of used but good 8-650pf 3-5kv vacuum caps I had bought when I was building my HF AMP and used one for a few weeks and decided to go another route. I bought the pair and now selling the pair. I had tested them with my capacitance meter. They are good. The shafts rotate with slight pressure in one direction which is a good thing. VINTAGE SPRAGUE"ATOMS" CAPACITOR. 50 uF, 50 VDC, TVA-1308, DRY ELECTROLYTIC, USED. I found this American-made capacitor about 30 years ago when I was cleaning out a scientific laboratory. It was in the stock supply bin but apparently had been used. I kept it thinking I might have some eventual use for it. But have decided that it is now surplus to my needs. It is in a sealed paper can with two axial leads, one ~1 1/2" long and the other ~3/4" long. It is 1 3/4" long by 3/8" in diameter.
