I recently acquired the remaining inventory in my estranged husband's electronics shop and have finally started the daunting task of sorting through the shelves of items! This is a Hoffman enclosure with the box measuring 10" x 8" x 5" I'm not sure what he started to use it for. But there was a board with some components inside, which I removed. You can see from the photos that there are two small holes drilled in the top and inside are two little white plastic pieces that I believe are to run wires through- they appear to be maybe glued on, and I did not try to remove them as I didn't want to damage the Hoffman label inside. There was a large label stuck to the front of the enclosure which I removed with acetone(well, okay, I used nail polish remover! This enclosure weighs just over 1.5 kg. There are seven dome switches on top. With a PCB on the back, a simple matrix used in many electronic devices. Checking the incoming AC power indicates power is coming into the device and"stepping" down from 110V to approximately 57V. We were not able to test the outgoing DC current. Of course. We don't have devices to connect the box to to see if actually operates as intended: thus, we are selling for"parts or not working. A review of the interior components shows that all the capacitors and resistors look excellent. There doesn't appear to be any cut, loose wires or missing components.
